Tried to reinstall after deleting the .opera-dir. Does not work. I'm using the 2008- repo. But I have signed a bug report.

Updated to Opera 10 today, but opera refuses to start, and gives an errormessage. Starting it from the command line gives the following: opera [crash logging]: CRASH!! /usr/lib/opera/10.00/opera got signal SIGSEGV at address B764D31A
Log was created here: /var/tmp/crash20090705153315.log Dödad (=killed) Anyone who has run in to the same problem? Or know what to do about it?

General / General topics / Re: What is Pardus?

I think, correct me if I'm wrong, that Pardus is loosely based on Gentoo.
I also would appreciate a guide or something similar that maps the file-system and files. Following ubuntu- or opensuse- guides is not easy since most files do not exist or have another name or directory in Pardus. It would be nice to know the equivalent files in Pardus. Or at least how much Pardus differ from the other big distributions.

Does anyone know how to get Kpowersave to override the "native" DPMS - configuration? I have put kpowersave to black the screen after 5 min on my laptop. But it goes black just after 2 min. Can't figure out how to do it....

Well Bubble
I just don't get it! By right-clicking on the korganizer icon does not give me the options you are refering to! No > Memory switched off > Memory module during the registration switch off!!! Only the usual options of configuring the panel, the icons etc.

Assistance / Configuring Pardus / Applets gone!! [SOLVED]
|
on: May 04, 2009, 17:14:19 PM
|
In my futile search of trying to disable the korganizer reminder daemon I accidently removed all the applets in the activity - area: See here And network - applet, kpowersave and kmix refuses to show up again! When starting kmix from the console, it says it can't connect to X. Does someone know how I can get it all back to as it where before?

Sorry Bubbel. I just don't get it! Right - clicking on the controlpanel - korganizer - icon just gives me the usual options of removing the program, adding a new program - icon and customizing the panel. No memory switched off or similar!

Assistance / Software / Installing fonts in LaTex/Kile
|
on: April 19, 2009, 22:34:00 PM

I'm trying to install the font "venturis" in LaTex, but it complains that it is missing the venturis.sty file, which is absent in the downloaded package. So, my question is: Is there a LaTex user in this community, because I think I have missed something. I'm new to LaTex, but I think the solution is not that I just miss the .sty- file.
