76  Assistance / Software / Re: Adding shell script to the servicemenu in konqueror? on: September 22, 2008, 20:38:29 PM
Well, well... Seems like I messed up a bit... You're quiet right lashni. Thing is SeFilm.sh is the name of my script, it's WatchAMovie in english. Just forgot to translate that part:) But it was the other part I was interested in. The Actions=runTest (without .sh) and %u. I will test it later in the week.

Thanks in advance
77  Assistance / Software / Adding shell script to the servicemenu in konqueror? on: September 19, 2008, 23:50:50 PM
I have created a small script to use when I watch a movie on my TV. But I would like to add it to the pop- up menu in konqueror. I have gotten so far that I have managed to understand what to do in theory...
This is how it looks like:

[Desktop entry]

[Desktop Action WatchAMovie]
Exec=/bin/sh "home/martin/bin/WatchAMovie"

The script it self works but I can't get the option to show up in the pop-up menu!

Does anyone have an idea?
78  Assistance / Software / Re: KMail and Hotmail and Yahoo on: September 19, 2008, 23:40:09 PM
That has something to do with when you did create your hotmail account. I created mine back in 1999. Accounts created after a certain date won't work I think!

It will soon show up in the wiki Roll Eyes
79  Assistance / Configuring Pardus / Re: No åäö- characters in KDE 3.5.9 on: September 12, 2008, 12:14:26 PM
Hmm... Kind of embarrassing. But I had forgotten to install the glibc-locales-sv package. So now it's all ok Tongue
80  Assistance / Configuring Pardus / Re: No åäö- characters in KDE 3.5.9 on: September 12, 2008, 09:26:40 AM
Yes, it's all swedish. Maybe it has to do with the locale- settings. But I do not know which file to configure!
81  Assistance / Configuring Pardus / [solved] No åäö- characters in KDE 3.5.9 on: September 11, 2008, 22:10:20 PM

I have just done a reinstallation of Pardus 2008 on my laptop. But now åäö does not work in any of the KDE- apps! I can see them in a mail for example but I can't type them...
Please help!

Well, after some digging I had hotwayd installed from the repos. Strange thing thou, xinetd (which is needed by hotwayd) is not in the repos (maybe it's now, but it was'nt when I needed it). So if xinetd is not in the repos you go code:
sudo pisi bi http://svn.pardus.org.tr/pardus/devel/server/xinetd/pspec.xml
and then:
sudo pisi it xinetd-2.3.14-3.pisi
Edit: then answer yes to install all the dependencies. When it's all done
service xinetd on && service xinetd start

Then install hotwayd and configure Kmail!
83  Assistance / Configuring Pardus / Re: USB 2.0 and USB 1.0 on: August 17, 2008, 12:31:28 PM
Thank you Andreas. That was helpful. Thing was that i had an USB- hub through which I had connected all my USB- things. When disconnecting the hub, and using the controller directly, it started using the EHCI- driver instead of the OHCI... Why? I still don't know... But the thing is that I got USB 2.0 now and that's all that matters for now... So thanks again.
84  Assistance / Configuring Pardus / [solved]USB 2.0 and USB 1.0 on: August 16, 2008, 17:21:30 PM
I have installed Pardus 2008 on a desktop- machine with USB 1.0 on the mainboard and a USB 2.0 pci- card. THing is that the pci- card only uses the ohci- driver and not the ehci- driver which sets the speed to USB 1.0. I have tried to blacklist the ohci- driver but that's not working. So, does anyone have an idea of what to do? I woukd really like to get the pci- card working properly...
85  Assistance / Software / Apollon does not connect on: July 25, 2008, 21:45:23 PM
I installed Apollon from the repos. But when I start it, it says its connecting to Gnutella etc. But then nothing happens! I share folders and have changed the ports etc. But, no connection... What to do?
86  Assistance / Software / KMail and Hotmail and Yahoo on: July 21, 2008, 21:55:01 PM
Is there anything like webmail or similar in the repositories. Trying to configure KMail to get my hotmail and yahoo- accounts.

If not, does POP- Mail work in KMail?
87  Assistance / Software / About Pisi on: July 20, 2008, 20:46:37 PM
just a general question. Is there a way to see the dependencies of a package in Pisi? Pisi wants to install 31 dependencies for thunderbird, but does not tell me which!
88  Assistance / Software / [SOLVED]OpenOffice in swedish on: July 20, 2008, 20:38:57 PM
Following this guide:http://worldforum.pardus-linux.nl/index.php?topic=1602.0 gives me the error message that I don't have "ar" installed in Ark. What to do? And does anyone know an easier way to get OOoo in another language than the ones in th repositories?

Edit: I just tool the files from my Ubuntu installation
89  Assistance / Configuring Pardus / Solved: TV- out not working on: July 20, 2008, 20:31:23 PM

How do I get my tv- out to work? When pressing apply in Tasma the screen goes blank, but nothing shows up on the tv! I have a IGP 330M/340M/350M card.
Do I have to add anything in the xorg.conf?

The xorg.conf:

Ok, I solved it. I just use xrandr, as in this post: http://tennessee.ubuntuforums.com/showthread.php?s=b1e285d84cbeabc8b8cc7012e8afe58c&t=625435 and it worked like a charm. Only thing is that (if the tv-standard in your country is pal) you have to use an S- video to composite adapter, otherwise the picture will be in B/W...
