Are you an artist for Pardus?

No

The background was originally orange, but I had to make it greyscale for the contrast.
It does take a while to burn, about 20 minutes if memory serves Sad

I used inkscape for the design, and then GIMP to adjust the colours and contrast.

I'll see if I have any source files still Wink

Thanks for you help.

I have no idea why, but when I set the nvidia driver and rebooted, it was fine.
I even got compiz to half work.

No idea what I did different, so i'm stumped..

What is the return of the command "groups" ?

users disk wheel audio dialout video pnp removable power pnpadmin

EDIT:

I already have ownership of the 4L-gui file
7  Assistance / Software / Re: LaCie requires root privileges on: September 19, 2008, 19:47:15 PM
Thanks for the help, but that didn't work either   Sad

Is there any way to make yourself root for a series of commands?
It only seems to apply to the 4L-gui command, any that LaCie makes appear to be done outside of sudo

EDIT:

I've done a short tutorial on the wiki

i'm very sorry about posting yet another topic on this (can a mod remove my last topics?)

here's the link for them, plus a tutorial on how to install the LaCie LightScribe software.
(I can't get it to run properly at the moment though, I've posted a topic in the software section)

The files are too big to post as an attachment, that is why I am linking to them instead.

When I try using the nv driver, everything is in black and white rectangles..

The problem I was having is that I wanted to burn the image directly onto the top surface of my LightScribe cd, rather than print them out and stick them on

(Lisa)

I've tried all the methods you mentioned,
but none of them worked for me   Sad

But thank you very much for the help   Smiley

You could also try
kdesu 4L-gui

Thanks, but it didn't work, will look into the "wheel" method you mentioned
14  Assistance / Software / LaCie requires root privileges on: September 18, 2008, 19:21:18 PM
I've installed LaCie lightscribe software, but when trying to burn,
I get an error "Printing requires root privileges"

I've tried running 4L-gui using "Terminal Program - Super User Mode"
but I still get the same problem..

Any ideas?

Still having problems..
Can get the res I want (1024x768) using the VESA driver, but the nvidia (new) driver still won't work for me.
I've ordered a GeForce 7300 (GT, I think) so I hope that will work better
