Pardus Linux offers Mplayer and Smplayer in it's repos. If these two programs do not work well with each other, then there is a bug which should be fixed, isn't it?

rvm, basically, the problem is not that I canot configure it. The problem is that while my installation is English, Mplayer is Turkish. It is not translated while it has to be.

This process is rather automated. When you run the display configuration, it suggests you to install nvidia drivers, and, when you accept it, it runs Package Manager for you.

If 'Change volume on every file' is set in Smplayer properties, Smplayer refuses to play videos. There is some error of Mplayer instead. Possible bug.

Smplayer does not switch to the next file in playlist. The problem and the workaround for it described here http://smplayer.wiki.sourceforge.net/FAQ under 'When I'm playing a playlist, when a file ends SMPlayer doesn't play the next file automatically, why?'. However, this is not an acceptable solution for non Turkish speaking people, so probably there should be a bugreport, isn't it?

PhiX, no, the problem is not the path to Xlib.h, but Xlib.h file itself. If you look at the part of make output here http://codepad.org/pbKu9LQS you can see lots of wrong declarations (does not name a type). So, as aegisub developer said, this might be a problem of non-consistent X headers.
