Hallo,
Today when I start my PC(Pardus 2007.3) I receive the following message:
The following installation problem was detected while trying to start KDE
    Writing to temp directory(/tmp) failed with the error 'Permission denied'
    KDE is unable to start

When I push OK  then I recieve : Could not start ksmserver.Check your installation

What can I do ?

Have anybody experience with Epson DX4400 under Pardus ?
Printing will be no problem but scanning ??

That's possible ,I do that with Crossover from CodeWeavers(maybe is it also possible with Wine,but I haven't try that)You have also a add-on "IEtab" for Firefox but I think it only works under Windows!

I used for trying a very old vga card ,it's a Cirrus Logic 5446 and that shell be the problem ,I'm go try a other!

I recieve the same message with the Live CD

I've put another motherboard in my PC ,a ASRockK7S8X with processor Athlon XP +2000.
Linux doesn't start anymore.
The error is :
vesafd:sorry pre-VBE 2.0 cards are not supported
vesafd:vbe_init failed

Can somebody help me ?

I've tryed it yesterday with ndiswrapper ,but I have the same problem,after a time no connection !
