Hi Michiel
it's pretty easy  Wink:
1. Download the sopcaster folder from http://petepr.drivehq.com/lsd/tarballs/sopcaster.tar.gz, unarchive and put in your home folder
2. Download and install through PISI libstdc++
3. Double click on "sopcaster" to launch the application

OK. Let me know how it goes and I will send you the files for Sopcaster if necessary. But bottom line is if I can get it to work, anyone can!

Hi azra,

The link does not work. Got any alternate link.

Ganesh

Try this
http://download.sopcast.cn/download/sp-auth.tgz and read this http://www.myp2pforum.eu/sopcast/34266-sopcaster-linux-3-easy-steps.html

Download from here http://petepr.drivehq.com/lsd/lsd_download.html

Namaste Ganesh

you can use this http://petepr.drivehq.com/lsd/tarballs/sopcaster.tgz . Just make sure you read the readme, there is a dependency (stdc++) which is needed and which you can find on Pisi.

I have it on P2009 and it works with no issue.

I seem to have solved it by using the last suggestion on the bug.

Code:
sudo rm -f /etc/X11/kdm/kdmrc

and then

Code:
sudo pisi it --reins kdm

Thanks Michiel, this is what I thought, but even this does not work for me  Huh?
I still have to log in and start x manually.
Thank you for the help though.

I seem to have the same problem.
Once GDM is installed from PISI, how do I select it instead of KDM?
I am assuming that I do not need any other Gnome packages, I just need the GDM package and dependencies from PISI?
27  Assistance / Configuring Pardus / Re: Error remounting root filesystem read/write on: August 31, 2009, 10:55:32 AM
Hi PhiX
I reinstalled in the end... I could not cope with having no computer for three days!
Thanks for the advice though, if this happens next time I will try what you suggest.

30  Assistance / Configuring Pardus / Error remounting root filesystem read/write on: August 28, 2009, 19:33:05 PM
For some reaosn, Pardus does not want to start.
On start up, I have the following messgae:

Code:
* remounting root filesystem read/write
Cannot create link /etc/mtab~
Perhaps there is a stale lock file?

This is repeated 4 times, and then, when trying to

Code:
*Mounting USB filesystem

and

Code:
Mounting local filesystem

 I get the same error.

Finally, KDM appears and when I try to loggin, it says:

Code:
Logging in azra...

Cannot enter home directory. Using /.

I click okay, and a window appears saying

Code:
kstartupconfig4 does not exist or fails. The error code is 3. Check your installation.

Is there anything I can do or do I need to reinstall the system?  Sad
