How many space left have you on your root partition ? df / Hey Phix plenty of space left, I don't think that is the problem. Filesystem 1K-blocks Used Available Use% Mounted on /dev/sda1 15464736 6076484 9231140 40% /
I re-booted and still the same problem....

I ran pisi through the GUI this evening and three packages are to be updated. One of them is OpenOffice.org. However, when I click on "Upgrade Packages", a pop up displays an error. What's wrong? How do I solve that?

Assistance / Pardus for beginners / Re: Interested in exactly how to change inline /home to separate /home

I found that the easiest way was to partition the drive. On one partition you install the system, on another one the /home directories. A third one can be for documents for instance Like this, if you reinstall the system, your home files will not be touched, since they are not on the same partition. To do this, use Gparted, but the disks must not be active when you partition, otherwise Gparted cannot work.

Mhmrcs
Hum, although I do not disagree with the spirit of what you are saying, I do not think that it contravenes any laws. There is no trust or monopole of M$ on webmail, people can decide to vote with their feet and use yahoo mail or gmail if they want.
I think it is a strategic action from M$ which will have little impact since people who use linux (usually) can fiddle with their settings easily and I further doubt that many people who actually use linux want/have a hotmail account.
But you're right, it is pathetic......

I am with PhiX on the new Pardus theme. Actually, I think the Pardus overall windows theme is not to the standard of the artwork for the icons, so I wish for something a bit more integrated.

Hi Alan Welcome! Although I am a frog (please don't hold that against me), I also live in the UK. There seems to be quite a few of us in the forum. Whereabouts in Hampshire? My girlfriend is from Winchester.
