31  Assistance / Download/Repos / Slow official repos? on: August 21, 2009, 10:29:52 AM
Is all ok with the repos? I seem to get a reallllllyyy slow download response. Around 10 kb/s...  Huh?
32  Assistance / Configuring Pardus / Re: Pardus 2009 with XFCE on: August 16, 2009, 21:21:17 PM
If you want a good test of IceWM, give Puppy Linux a shot. I personally do not like it at all, I think it is VERY ugly, and much prefer LXDE. There are pupplets with LXDE, but otherwise, you can try SliTaz, a fantastic lightweight distro with LXDE.
Somehow the repos for LXDE were taken offline, a great shame...

38  Assistance / Hardware / [SOLVED] DVD-Rom not recognised? on: August 01, 2009, 20:23:01 PM
Strangely, my dvd device is not recognised at all. I cannot find it anywhere....
When I insert a blank dvd, no window pops up and when I start K3B, it tells me that I do not have a dvd device? When I inseret a music CD, the light blinks, but then nothing?

Here is a copy of my "ls /dev" input

39  General / Wish list / Thundebird Milky icons? on: August 01, 2009, 15:30:27 PM
I use Firefox with the nice Milky Pardus icons, is there any plan to have a set of icons for Thunderbird which match?
Otherwise my wish would be for someone to look into it.
40  Assistance / Software / Re: [SOLVED] Thundebird does not open clickable links in Firefox? on: August 01, 2009, 15:26:02 PM
Thanks for that Bubbel.
I messed it up when the prompt window appeared and closed it on firefox without entering the path Sad .
Even when I change back the settings to default and again to true, the prompt window no longer appears when I click on links. This is my mistake, so I guess I will have to live with it.
41  Assistance / Software / [SOLVED] Thundebird does not open clickable links in Firefox? on: August 01, 2009, 14:51:31 PM
I have checked all my settings under "Default Applications" of the System Settings and they are ok. My default browser is firefox and my default email client is Thunderbird. When I click on links received in emails from thunderbird, nothing happens at all.
What am I missing?  Huh?

Strange, unless I am mistaken, I do not get the error? What would that mean?
