Assistance / Hardware / Re: Hot temperature!

Hi! I know that it could be a problem in the fans themselves, but since with opensuse they work great, i think it's more likely to be a problem in pardus, which is not correctly using them. What do you think? How can i check it out?

Assistance / Hardware / Hot temperature!

I didn't know where to post it, so i'll try here. I noticed that temperature always reachs high levels, even if i'm just surfing the web. I use the powersave profile, set as follows: cpu profile "dynamic, conservative; powersaving". The problem is that, if i use opensuse, with kde4.3 and the same settings, temperature barely reachs 50/60°, whereas in pardus 2009, latest updates, it's constantly on 60/70° and immediately reaches 90° if i watch a video on youtube :O Anyone can help? Ask me for further informations, if needed, i don't know what informations are worth posting :-)

Hi Michiel, thanks for the answers. I'm trying to install tweetdeck from www.tweetdeck.com, and the installation goes well until the point you describe: if you chose "yes", however, it will say that the AIR installation has not succeded, thus you cannot install tweetdeck. I'm actually using choqok as a twitter client

I tried to install TwitterDeck, which installs via Adobe AIR, but the process died since the AIR file is "corrupted" (so says the dialog that appears). I googled a bit, but i didn't find anything usefull. Should i report it to Pardus developers or has someone any idea?

Assistance / Software / Re: Emesene on Pardus 2009

@atolboo: i already did it, but for some unknown reasons, it's not working, emesene hangs on the connecting dialog and doesn't connect. And i'd like to manage the program as usual via pisi, so i can easily keep it updated (plus, it's not recorded by the "alt+f2" launcer dialog, and i always use the keyboard to navigate programs). @linuxwizard: good to know!

I am very willing to test pc-bsd, but for some reason it doesn't even start installing on my machine :-( Thus i'm trying it on a virtual machine, but its programm management really intrigues me :-(
