if you use the appropriate TASMA module, u can install directly the fonts from windows partition (even if you have to pick it one by one...), but u don't have the need for a script and an online connection

Ehm... i emailed it, but i guess there's some code of conduct to follow, since it arrived me a newsletter for pardus translator and i noticed messages from translator have to be written in a certain way. I wish there would be some how-toes to explain the translation process, not only a forum and a "learn as you do" way :p I hope not to harm the project too much with my inexperience :p Bye!

Hi guys, thank you so much for your answers! I downloaded kbabel (which i had already downloaded when i wrote this post ^^) and i translated / completed a translation: now, how do i submit the .po file? Does kbabel do everything automatically? Or do i have to email it to everyone using the email address to the whole italian translation project? I'm sorry if i'm so full of questions, it's just that i don't want to cause a mess doing the wrong thing and ruining other people's work. For example, i found a function in kbabel, "send to (an archive)", thus i think that it could send the .po file directly to where it is needed, but am i right in my guess?

Hi there! I would like to contribute to Pardus development by translating it in my language (Italian); i emailed the italian translation project boss but he didn't answer me yet. Can anyone help me to understand what i'm supposed to do? I red all the information Pardus' site could give me, but there was no clue O_o

I red about it during a "which distro should i try this time?" afternoon spent on DistroWatch From all the distroes i tried that day (almost 5 months ago), Pardus was the one and only to win my appreciation

General / Wish list / New Package-manager options

Hi there! One wish i have is to multi-select the packages i'd like to install, instead of select them one by one. I mean something like a ctrl-click for multiple selection, breaking up with the past annoying process of "select a package - wait until it's loaded - repeat and repeat and repeat this 2 steps". Bye! ^^

Hi there! I installed the package and now i can only start a text based session, since all xorg fails to start. I tried to reinstall the driver and to change xorg.conf options, but nothing seems to work. But before all this happened, my mp3 player worked well ^_^

For the compizfusion icon, i installed the package "autostart" and then Tasma > Desktop > Autostart Manager and click on the compiz fusion line and remove it ^^ as good as done!

Hi there! The response was this: "Hello! I've just fixed this problem last week, you're probably using the stable pardus 2008 repository and the related update isn't yet there. If you're unpatient and can't wait another 4-5 days, you can manually install the related package. Press ALT+F2, type konsole and then 'Enter'. Type the following command: sudo pisi install http://cekirdek.pardus.org.tr/~ozan/dist/binaries/hal-0.5.11-63-13.pisiEnter your user password. After the installation, reboot your computer and see whether the problem has gone or not." On my pc it still doesn't work perfecty: managing it with amarok it's ok, but if i choose to open directly the folder view of the mp3 player, it eventually disconnects. What are u experiencing?

Ehm... I don't know how to be more clear... First step: download something second: go to the firefox download manager 3rd: right click the file you downloaded 4th: choose "open folder" well: when i chose "open folder" it asks me what program to use, which is actually Kde. It should open directly a folder window, without asking me to choose the programm. That's the problem! And even if i try to directly open the file, firefox always shows me the "choose program" dialog screen, as if it doesn't know how to manage the various file extentions.
