The bug #9513 filed. Nevertheless, I feel silly: this can't be happening the way it actually happens Smiley ...
62  Assistance / Software / Re: Ctrl sequences in OpenOffice (different kbd layouts) on: April 04, 2009, 17:49:32 PM
A couple of depressing observations:

(1) It isn't necessarily OpenOffice issue. Ctrl-T in Firefox works in en layout only; in Arch both OpenOffice and Firefox (same versions) hotkeys work regardless of the layout.

(2) I tried Google, but the problem which has been annoying me for as long as I use Linux, seems nonexistent. Well, almost, but the only relevant link I managed to find looks like a joke in a bad taste Smiley . Meanwhile, the trouble should be all too familiar to any bilingual user. I don't know what to think.

Funny indeed Smiley . How am I supposed to quit the performance, by the way?

A corrupt package?
65  General / Wish list / Re: Russian language in openoffice (spellchecking)[SOLVED] on: April 04, 2009, 05:25:36 AM
OpenOffice-3.0.1  doesn't install on my system.
Why?..

Have you tweaked the configuration in OpenOfffice > Tools > linguistic parameters ?
Default language for documents set for Russian, that's all.
67  Assistance / Software / Standard application hotkeys available only in us keyboard layout[SOLVED] on: April 03, 2009, 09:20:03 AM
Hi,

Ctrl sequences (Ctrl-S, for instance) work in the en keyboard layout, but won't in the ru layout. There must be a remedy, as in other distros it works transparently at least from 2.4.1 version. Any ideas?

I've got OpenOffice 3.0.1 installed, but I checked 2.4.1 before removing; the same behavior. It's funny, because Pardus isn't an English language distro Smiley . The trouble should have been weeded out by now.

These are not official packages, but you can try them anyway.
It works just as it should: openoffice 3.0.1, extensions and all Smiley .

By the way, I have no faith in the Pardus 2009 release "before summer". To make a viable, lasting job they have to incorporate xorg-server 1.6 and KDE 4.3; both those components have to mature a bit upstream. At least, my Arch experience strongly suggests so Smiley .

OpenOffice 3 will be the default office suite of the upcoming Pardus 2009, which is due before summer.

It isn't that bleak, is it  Grin ?

That is, I'd better manage openoffice 3 as best I can Smiley ? As soon as possible?

Hey Llama
is this what you are looking for?
http://en.pardus-wiki.org/Pisi_Package
The page is tagged "under construction", but the construction process apparently froze in February Sad . This pspec.xml/dtd thing makes sense only if there are some tools that make the process reasonably user-friendly, doesn't it? On the other hand, the Wiki says that pspec.xml file is to be prepared 'by hand'. Is it really that cruel Smiley ?
74  Assistance / Download/Repos / Re: REPOSITORIES FOR PARDUS 2008+ on: March 26, 2009, 12:04:03 PM
I can only see that your sandbox isn't a part of the users repo. Whether you tried to submit your packages, and what happened, remains unclear Smiley .

Did you ever try to submit these, bubbel?
Got turned down, or just waiting?
