1  Assistance / Bugs / Re: No full-screen with gecko mediaplayer in firefox on: March 21, 2010, 22:34:29 PM
I tried. A selection window opens, but I cannot change the settings..................
Looks like mplayer is messed up. A reinstallation (and removing the .mplayer directory) does not solve the issue.
2  Assistance / Bugs / No full-screen with gecko mediaplayer in firefox on: March 21, 2010, 12:32:59 PM
I cannot get the gecko mediaplayer to show fullscreen in firefox.
For example here: http://nos.nl/nieuws/live/journaal24/wmv/

When I close the firefox session, mplayer often continues to run. Firefox is closed, but I can hear the sound and have to kill mplayer manually.

Suggestions?
3  Assistance / Configuring Pardus / Re: Sound OSS on: February 04, 2010, 19:30:36 PM
Same question here. I need OSS to be able to play Enemy Territory, but it does not seem to be available in Pardus. Can it be added?
4  Assistance / Software / Re: configure: error: C preprocessor "/lib/cpp" fails sanity check on: July 27, 2009, 20:36:17 PM
I did forget to install kernel-source (how silly of me!), but the problem remains......

perhaps, if someone would be so kind as to create a nice pardus package for me, I would not have to deal with compiling subtitleeditor.......  Grin
5  General / Wish list / Subtitle editor on: July 26, 2009, 21:17:33 PM
I would like to see a package so I can sync subtitles.
I hear subtitleeditor is a good tool for this under linux.
The homepage is: http://home.gna.org/subtitleeditor/

Yes. Pardus uses Pulseaudio.

8  Assistance / Pardus for beginners / Re: Fastest File Downloader on: July 14, 2009, 22:54:57 PM
For linux there are several downloaders available.
The main reason they download faster is the fact that they start multiple downloads of the same file.
Downthemall! is an add-on for firefox that does the trick.

Try it!
9  Assistance / Installing Pardus / Re: Pardus 2009 Install Question on: July 14, 2009, 07:46:46 AM
I guess I did something wrong when I updated the packages. I see a new login screen now.
Problem solved  Grin
10  Assistance / Installing Pardus / Re: Pardus 2009 Install Question on: July 13, 2009, 18:52:18 PM
I wasn't talking about the graphics driver.  Grin

I meant the new splash screens and such.

How do I activate them. They were not abailable in 2009 RC.

How do I make my installation look like I installed RC2?
11  Assistance / Installing Pardus / Re: Pardus 2009 Install Question on: July 13, 2009, 14:04:21 PM
Silly question: I read on distrowatch that the new RC2 has new graphics. How do I get them to work and active when I installed RC?

regards,

Marcel.
12  Assistance / Hardware / Re: nvidia 7900 GS - How do I install and activate the nvidia drivers? on: July 05, 2009, 12:25:22 PM
sudo zorg --driver=nvidia/xorg-video-nvidia185

seems to have done the trick. Thanks!

13  Assistance / Hardware / Re: nvidia 7900 GS - How do I install and activate the nvidia drivers? on: July 04, 2009, 22:33:00 PM
almost the same message:

sudo: xorg: command not found

although it seems strange that xorg is not installed ;-)
14  Assistance / Hardware / Re: nvidia 7900 GS - How do I install and activate the nvidia drivers? on: July 04, 2009, 21:58:04 PM
sudo org --driver=nvidia/xorg-video-nvidia185

gives me:

sudo: org: command not found

15  Assistance / Hardware / [SOLVED] nvidia 7900 GS - How do I install and activate the nvidia drivers? on: July 04, 2009, 20:52:55 PM
Hi all!

Just installed Pardus 2009 RC.
I want to use the original nvidia drivers. So I installed both the 185 drivers.
How do I get Pardus to use them by default. Nvidia doesnot show up in the system settings.

I can select Nouveau and nv there, but not nvidia.

How do I make this work?

Thanks!
