1  Assistance / Pardus for beginners / Re: repositories pardus k2 on: July 17, 2011, 10:26:11 AM
I you only want a certain package then safer to build from the pspec files.
Adding the repo's will cause all kinds of hurt....
2  Assistance / Configuring Pardus / Re: Pardus 2011 with Enlightenment on: May 24, 2011, 21:09:48 PM
Hi look at the repo's for 2011, thread there is an entry there for the comak repo, add that then it will install correctly
3  Assistance / News & Announcements / Re: Pardus 2011 + GNOME or LXDE on: May 22, 2011, 06:15:32 AM
Have just  installed from the comak iso, gnome, lxde and xfce work great, fluxbox and enlightenment do not honour language selection, the log in screen is still in turkish and with fluxbox the menu is too.

But that's it, no show stoppers.

Would be good if the option was there to add multiple desktops from the iso, rather than just pick one.

Comak has a complete repo now, not just lxde

5  General / The Pub / Re: The first real review of OpenSuse 11.4 on: March 30, 2011, 11:31:56 AM
This is the best release they have done, in terms of package speed....
typically though they have now broken network shares
6  General / Wish list / Re: Ushahidi Interactive Mapping Program Request on: March 30, 2011, 11:29:31 AM
I think its what users are used to, if for example they have come from ubuntu et al, you can install server software through the package manager that sets up a basic working local server(things like a lamp stack, tomcat, etc) , you then edit that to suite your needs.

Its a server platform to be added to a lamp stack, servicg map/social features

8  Assistance / Hardware / Re: Missing Modules after kernel update on: March 26, 2011, 19:15:13 PM
?? it would only affect pardus??  don't see relevance of dual boot, and a reinstall is going to hit the same thing when you update....
9  Assistance / Hardware / Re: Missing Modules after kernel update on: March 26, 2011, 15:29:26 PM

10  Assistance / Software / Re: Libreoffice keep going to default settings on: March 25, 2011, 18:07:03 PM
Do you have a separate /home partition?
if so it would be worthwhile fixing the permissions

13  Assistance / Hardware / Missing Modules after kernel update on: March 25, 2011, 08:09:22 AM
OMG in the years of using different distros this is absurd

Code:
mike@Corvidae ~ $ sudo modprobe snd-hda-intel
FATAL: Module snd_hda_intel not found.
mike@Corvidae ~ $

Sound modules have been removed on a kernel upgrade, its not ike its obscure hardware either...

And yes its the stock kernel from the repo
14  Assistance / News & Announcements / Re: Pardus 2011 + Fluxbox [Falco Peregrinus] on: March 22, 2011, 22:59:04 PM
Frankly much needs fixing on this,
the language does not change, there are still qt and gnome libs installed,
fluxbox has not detected eterm when build and  as a consequence Esetroot fails
slim has no other sessions or options configured for language.

Acctually the error is in the menu , esetroot works fine.
Conky is referneced in the menu but not installed or available......
15  Assistance / Configuring Pardus / Re: PulseAudio on: March 21, 2011, 16:55:02 PM
Bella pup what is the model of the onboard card? if it is the same across distro's odds on it needs a model option passed to it.

Realtek ALC662

please post output of
lspci -vv
lsmod | grep snd
