I don't know if this is a bug, but after I mute and unmute the sound, the sound did not come up again. I had to scramble around and found that I had to mess around with pavucontrol (Pulse Audio Volume Control) in the "Output" tab on "Set as fallback", "Mute" buttons.
It is quite primitive solution, but at least I could bring the sound back again.

General / Tips and tricks / [Tip] How to set the font in GTK apps in Kurumsal 2

The developer did not include the gtk-qt-engine in the repo so you could not set the Gnome/GTK app to be automatically changed along with any change in the KDE settings.
So the manual way is to edit /usr/share/themes/QtCurve/gtk-2.0/kdeglobals as root. In my case, I want to set the Gnome app to have the Droid Sans font, so I just change the font in the kdeglobals by hand.
But then of course I'm looking forward to the day that the Pardus team put gtk-qt-engine in the Kurumsal 2 repo.

Distrowatch, in second semester of 2008. Waited to Jan 2009 to try because Pardus was releasing a new version back then. Pleased with it.
Had to uninstall months later because my computer did not do well with KDE4.

Agree with BellaPup.
Windows7 is pretty pain in the S when it comes to its bootloader (about same way as Grub2 if you want a balanced perspective). But I find Neosmart EasyBCD is very helpful. So Google that and download it. They got a good support forum as well.

Maybe that member issue has something to do with the introduction of KDE4. I'd love to use KDE4 but it is way too bloated in a Vista way and some of the familiar and amazing apps from KDE3 has not yet ported to KDE4.
I was going to advice Pardus to release out-of-box Gnome version, but now Gnome is heading toward ridiculousness as well.
Probably you guys could release the Xfce version straight out of the box (while Xfce is still sane)?
I mean Pardus has one of the best font rendering and probably is the number one in the neatness and simplicity of its desktop. Most of Xfce distro out there are not very good in font rendering (except Ubuntu and Mint), and having to install Xfce after installing KDE4 version is cumbersome and beat the purpose of being lightweight as well.

I also tried Pardus 2011 on my Dell laptop type 14R, but to my amusement, it didn't detect the Broadcom wifi (whereas I see in the independent review in Youtube, Pardus 2011 flawlessly detect his Broadcom wifi). Needless to say, I went straight to Kubuntu 10.10, which KDE4 implementation is getting better with the passing of time (plus with the fact that KDE powerhouses openSuSE and Mandriva are in a questionable state).
I think the most important to you guys at Pardus team is to have a lot of staying power. Keep the repo well maintained before you expand it. I just love the product.
Speaking of advertisement, how does the counter at Distrowatch ranking work? I see that Pardus has been steadily climbed up from where it was in 2008 (first time I kept an eye on Pardus and the Distrowatch's chart).
