1  Pardus Anka / Translations / Re: Translations of packages on: June 13, 2012, 22:02:33 PM
Maybe tribunal knows this, he is from russia and i think have also some special characters.
I will soon go to Paris for 2 weeks Roll Eyes
So, I will have only my GT-Note7000 with me.

But about translations: about local translation:
It is easy, but not very comfortable (transifex is better  Wink )
For me: just switch to your language and start it.
I hope, we will set out transifex back (it is free for open projects)

artwork
One of the things that I have always liked about Pardus is the avatars - cartoon drawings of pisi cat and kaptan.  May be they are not necessary if kaptan welcome - setup wizard is not used in Pardus.  I don't know how they were drawn, and I am not an artist.  Özgürlük İçin site has similar avatar drawings for forum members.

And, of course, the avatar  that represents Pardus.  I don't know who did the drawings of each of these, if they would still like to continue drawing them, or allow someone else to draw them (with their permission).

And kaptan welcome and setup wizard.  I liked the wizard in 2009 pardus, that also included network setup.  I don't know where the kaptan would fit in the categories of development.

Designers are not a problem. I can find one or even two, if we need them really.

I think, all of us should remember it:

In 2010 Mandriva has fired a lot of developers. They have created Mageia. And now Mandriva wants Mageia as a base for server version (!!!)
Looks like current situation with Pardus-Anka, isn't it?

I know about it, but who is the owner of pardus.org.tr domain name?
And information at this site is too outdated.

Can we use transifex system? As I see, it is free for opensource projects.

9  Pardus Anka / News & Announcements / Re: Pardus rising from its ashes on: June 03, 2012, 12:14:48 PM
I already tried to make a start over here: http://worldforum.pardus-linux.nl/index.php?topic=4375.0 and
an analyze over here: http://worldforum.pardus-linux.nl/index.php?topic=4376.0

So what do have right now:
- allready develop for Anka, pantera, metalmanbaris team, COMAK team, A. ozbek team
- potential developers: pardususers.de team, parduslife team, worldforum team?
- Aaron's list https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AjqEKqxjPVgZdC1mZm12b1laYlZpTzYySjZzQllYT1E#gid=0

Maybe we should create a new overview list over here, and then let everybody on that list give a reaction on what they
like todo in this Pardus/Anka project. I try to make a setup.

I think, you should create a new list of people from worldforum (not from ANKA), who can help.
Aaron's list is outdated. For example, Aaron has disappeared Sad

So, let's go on Smiley I think, the first task is to join all people at one place (here, for example).
Not all of us speaks english, so it won't be so easy.
May be I am wrong.
11  Pardus Anka / News & Announcements / Re: Pardus rising from its ashes on: June 03, 2012, 11:15:34 AM
I will be here Smiley But I am only a translator and promoter - no more.
So, you know all I need:
A system for translation, at first.
And a plan (real plan, not fake by goverment)
12  Pardus Anka / News & Announcements / Re: Pardus rising from its ashes on: June 03, 2012, 09:43:45 AM
Hi! 2Dirse: thank you for translation and information. I hope, you will create a really independent system.
As for me and my friends, we will never work for any goverment after its treachery.
Good luck Smiley
13  Assistance / News & Announcements / Re: Pardus is dead??? on: May 04, 2012, 09:50:21 AM
Why? What is the resason?
Soon it will be a year since the last official update Smiley
2011.2 is officially dead.
There is no life anythere.
3000 turkish active members of LKD are just a fake.
They don't do anything.
So, they don't interested in Pardus.
Only several of them are doing something.
About russian version: I was the last russian translator
and I am leaving Smiley
Good luck.

P.S. zypper or urpmi are waiting me Smiley
14  Assistance / News & Announcements / Re: Pardus is dead??? on: May 03, 2012, 18:02:36 PM
Guys, good luck Smiley
May be pardus will survive.
But it won't have russian translation.
The last user is leaving it.
If you want - go on and wait Smiley
15  Assistance / News & Announcements / Re: Pardus Roadmap - Workshop on: April 10, 2012, 21:33:10 PM
And now back to building/testing the new Thunderbird-11.0.1 Grin
Although the update of Thunderbird-11.0.1 will give the unwanted behavior as can be seen in the pictures  in this post, I have decided ...

Thunderbird-11.0.1 is now available from 2. Additional (non-official) package source: pardususer.de

It only means you have to request the update 2x when doing an update from Thunderbird-3.1.10.
A new installation will not show this unwanted behavior.

Thank you Smiley Thunderbird works fine, but what about any news?
