1  Assistance / Configuring Pardus / Re: Nvidia driver on Pardus 2011 on: April 23, 2011, 05:31:17 AM
See Bug 16210, Comment 12 for an apparent solution:

http://bugs.pardus.org.tr/show_bug.cgi?id=16210#c12

This fixed the problem for me as well.  Grin
2  Assistance / Laptop / Re: HP Mini 110 cannot recover from hibernation on: April 04, 2011, 23:06:35 PM
CORRECTION:  Hibernation is not the problem.  It's suspend to RAM, when the screen blanks.  I mixed up the terminology there.  Sorry for any confusion which this may cause.

See: http://bugs.pardus.org.tr/show_bug.cgi?id=17543 if you're interested in how this is progressing.
3  Assistance / Software / Re: Rhythmbox on: March 28, 2011, 22:44:38 PM
How do I try to start this, or any application for that matter from the terminal?

Open a terminal window.  Type in the name of the application you want to run and hit enter.  That's it  Grin

5  Assistance / Laptop / Re: not able to connect to WPA2 protected WiFi on: March 28, 2011, 17:52:42 PM
If you're still around I'd be curious to know if it works properly in Pardus 2011.  I had no problem with WPA2 in 2009 IIRC so it may be a hardware specific.  I do know that wireless support has improved a lot in the new version  Grin
6  Assistance / Laptop / Re: HP Mini 110 cannot recover from hibernation on: March 28, 2011, 17:51:05 PM
Sorry to say the noapic option did not solve the problem  Undecided   dedebekri, do you have an HP or Compaq Mini 110 or did it work for you with a different laptop?

I saw someone else reported having the same issue with the same laptop in Bugzilla.
7  Assistance / News & Announcements / Re: A Linux event in Istanbul 1-2 april. on: March 28, 2011, 17:21:39 PM
If I could afford the time away from work and an expensive, last minute vacation in Turkey...    Oh well...
8  Assistance / Bugs / Re: Bluefish locks up on: March 28, 2011, 17:19:59 PM
Thanks for the translation.  I don't exactly trust online translators.  I am multilingual (no Turkish, sorry) from a very multilingual family and we laugh at the results those translators produce.

Thanks for the tip!  I'll try it and let you know  Grin

Reported as bug #17543.
11  Assistance / Laptop / HP Mini 110 cannot recover from hibernation on: March 28, 2011, 01:54:42 AM
When my netbook goes into hibernation it will not wake up when running Pardus 2011.  The only way to get it up and running again is to power it down and start it up again.  My swap partition is /dev/sda2 and resume=/dev/sda2 is specified as a kernel parameter in /boot/grub/menu.lst.  Has anyone else seen this?  Does anyone know of a way to get hibernation working?
12  Assistance / Configuring Pardus / Re: Nvidia driver on Pardus 2011 on: March 27, 2011, 19:21:29 PM
I'm afraid I'm still getting the on again, off again little black rectangle over the K menu on my system as well.  It's not fixed... yet.

Thanks, atolboo, but I already created the bug report as noted above  Grin
14  Assistance / Bugs / Re: Bluefish locks up on: March 25, 2011, 21:51:15 PM
FURTHER UPDATE:  This only happens when I am in Dolphin and select "Open with Bluefish" for an HTML file.  Starting Bluefish from the command line or the KDE Menu works OK.  I don't read/speak Turkish but I wonder if this is the same as http://bugs.pardus.org.tr/show_bug.cgi?id=14074 in Pardus 2009.  Reported as bug # 17517.
15  Assistance / Bugs / Re: Problems with intermittent wireless connections [bug in kernel module] on: March 25, 2011, 21:36:34 PM
