Distro looks very promising. I also have black dashes flickering across the top line of my screen. I am using a Asus laptop with a nvidia gt220m.
I sometimes have a problem login in to KDE. System hangs in the KDE splash. When i klick the left mouse button system logs in but is not fully functional. I can't logout of KDE and i have to leave KDE through Ctrl-Alt-F4.
After a reboot everything is back to normal.

The background of the login screen doesn,t fill the whole screen. There are two bars on the left and right of the screen. My resolution is 1366x768.
As soon as i login the background is ok.
