good... again thanks .... is working .. with no problems, i can use my TV tuner in this distro (now i loved more)  thanks to all bubel . and pHinx and atolboo thanks for the help .... but one question... how to build a Pisi package... to install it .... so easy... xD its possible? |

and no one fits me... i understand pardus a much more... i stick to pardus.. |

for all the people who helped me, Thanks, hmmmm, i need to said, im go (or gone, but i reinstall pardus), because my selfinesh,and thinked in windows user mode.... but now i reinstalled it and do it again to see the tv in my pc i dont feel very good in other distros, i installed various flavours of linux, but none convinced me to maintained it, but one thing i learned... if one thing go wrong (or not working)im need to put more efford to fix it.. (im installed a Debian (net install) but my soundcard not working at all, and i can install the right driver and get soundriver working. because of it... im stuck with pardus,,,,i can fix it... but there i get help THANKS....  |

thanks lisa, hmmm i have a "same" cat , its a "girl" named Paulina. im searching about 2 months to change distro but a distro that is not based on any other... some distros i installed but none is my choice other than Pardus! |

i did it already: udo pisi install kernel-source kernel-headers make gcc (without comma) and i enter the folder (my system is in spanish language)ivtv-utils and do a configure dont show any... and do make and show warning (says nothing for all).... i can post it, in the spanish area of the forum, but i feel some comfortable in here (sry). any advices, thanks in advance! |

where i can download it, because i need to see TV on my computer. i have a Hauppage PVR 250 (or 26XX ) . who can help me? and thanks ++++Edit+++++ Copy and paste some below post! CONFIG needed:
1. unpack the tarball
2. cd ivtv
3. make
4. make install (as root)
5. unload any old drivers
6. depmod
7. modprobe ivtv and do lsmod and modprobe ivtv for modprobe i dont see any message, but i restart the pc (after do all the points in here) and i see its working You can use ivtv-tune to tune the tuner to a channel, or ivtvctl to switch inputs. To test the card, it should be a matter of cat /dev/video0 > test.mpg which will produce an MPEG2 file that you can play with mplayer. As I don't have the hardware I can not test this any further. In case you can test this and are successful you will need (I think) to add (as root) ivtv to the file /etc/modules.autoload.d/kernel-2.6 in order to have kernel module loaded after a restart of the computer.

hello, im Mitsuzero, i have searched for a non-ubuntu linux (because a video problem ) and tried many distros (puppy has impressed me, but i didnt understand it all, but in distrowatch i see this distro, then i decided to download, install and in my first impression ..... Pardus owned me (really), im totally impressed, all working, the video driver, burning disk, my TV tuner, but something here, its totally diferent to other distro, i dont have problems, to update the system and installing a few apps, and i decided to try in the "ciber internet center" PC, im using in it, Kubuntu, but i decided to try in 3 PCs, and asked people if its diferent, or have problems to used it, but for me it a great distro, surpass Linuxmint and Ubuntu.  this distro gained my eart (LOL, but its true), and my wife also like it. ______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Bueno, dado que soy mexicano, escribo en español: Otro mas en la lista de los que hablan español y usan esta distro, que es muy buena, me impresiono mas que puppylinux( sera porque me gustan los gatos ... ), Esta va a ser mi unica distro que tenga por mucho tiempo xD Larga vida a la pantera xD!!!!! xD (segun wikipedia : http://es.wikipedia.org/wiki/Panthera_pardus)
