There are many usefull distribution to do that (RescueCd). Pardus is a distirbution for everyone, not for advanced users only, i think this is the reason why some tools are restricted to basic operations.
2  Assistance / Software / Re: Recent updata problem on: January 23, 2008, 13:24:07 PM
Nice! the only problem i found is when i go to KDE Menu / Preferences / Control Panel and click it...they do nothing...i am wrong or the control panel (TASMA) should be open?
As least that is the way that Control Panel title/link works in all the KDE distribution i know.

4  General / Wish list / Re: Acer ACPI on: January 21, 2008, 14:11:28 PM
It's quite easy, just download the source acer_acpi-0.11_rc3.tar.bz2 and extract it and follow the INSTALL instructions. You have to change a file and then do a make and make install.

6  Assistance / Software / Build a pisi package (linuxdc++) on: January 18, 2008, 17:32:42 PM
Hi! i recently compile and install the latest linuxdc++ client which is a great direct connect client, they have many options and look amazing. Right now i am testing it, seems to work great...now the key of this post...It is hard to build a pisi package to share this one with other users?
I check the wiki but i don't get...i build .deb's for Debian and ebuild's for Gentoo..is there a step by step guide or something similar?
This particular software use scons, instead of autotools

The same for me. i delete a duplicate entry and the menu change to the default kde look, instead of the Pardus style menu with all the things inside Programs.
