hi,

if you use Pardus 2009.x you dont have to install drivers. DVBT drivers are included in the kernel.

you have to find the right firmware and copy it in /lib/firmware.

my favourite for looking DVBT is kaffeine. you have to install it if you are yousing Pardus 2009.X.

if you are using pardus 2008.X have a look on

Greetings
Andreas

6  General / Wish list / Support for Pardus 2008.2 on: November 26, 2009, 20:25:45 PM

i have a wish...

... a very long long support time for Pardus 2008.2!

Does anyone know how long 2008.2 will be supported by the developer?

Does anyone know if there will  come a newer kernel  >=2.6.28.xxxx for Pardus 2008.2?

Does anyone know if there will  come firefox3.5x  for Pardus 2008.2?

8  Assistance / Configuring Pardus / Re: Ext4 partition and Pardus 2008. on: September 02, 2009, 21:39:20 PM
i think the problem is that this kernel.pisi has no soundmodules as you can see following.

sound # ls
soundcore.ko  sound_firmware.ko
sound # pwd
/lib/modules/2.6.28-114/kernel/sound

i installed kernel-source. can i create new kernel from the source? how? can i delete modules which i really de not need in the kernel-source directory?

i do not want to use P2009.

11  Assistance / Hardware / Re: Hot temperature! on: August 25, 2009, 23:26:43 PM
Hi,

let me speculate a little:

the flashplayer sucks a lot of cpu power, so may be you can try to switch the energy control to "dynamic" or "Save energy".
if you havent installed a blocker add on (e.g. adblockplus) in fitefox, and if you have opened a lot of tabs in firefox you can imagine what happens. many homepages are overloaded with flashplugins.

what grafic driver is installed in pardus? is 3D enabled? may be this can help to calculate over GPU.
12  Assistance / Hardware / Re: No Wireless with USB-Adapter Belkin (Pardus 2009) on: July 31, 2009, 23:25:10 PM
what kind of chip has your belkin stick?

is t a realtek RTL8187? if it is so, than you have a problem. i was not able to run my stick with realtek chip.

this RTL chip based sticks funktion in adhoc mode. thats what i find out. further maybe you will read something about "ndiswrapper" i tried and tried but was not succsesful.
13  Assistance / News & Announcements / Re: Pardus 2009 released on: July 20, 2009, 01:36:21 AM
it seems that pardus 2009 is a little lag on my AMD sempron 1800.
pardus 2008.2 runs more smart. i hope the support will go on for a long time.
seems that it was the right decision staying at kde 3.5x as long as possible.
14  Assistance / Installing Pardus / Re: Install Pardus 2009 with USB drive on: July 20, 2009, 01:04:04 AM

...did you reboot the system?

is acpi installed on your system?
if not you can install it with pisi paket manager.
