Ever tried this?
sudo pisi bi https://svn.pardus.org.tr/pardus/playground/sdalgic/2011/office/misc/calibre/pspec.xml

I haven't tried it, so awaiting your good news!  Wink
32  Assistance / Software / Re: WINE in 2011 x64 on: April 26, 2011, 14:55:52 PM
Correct me if I'm wrong but some of the mentioned programs are available;

Playonlinux;
sudo pisi bi https://svn.pardus.org.tr/pardus/playground/egetun/2011/hardware/emulator/playonlinux/pspec.xml

Licq;
sudo pisi bi https://svn.pardus.org.tr/pardus/playground/fatih.arslan/licq/pspec.xml

You may also search if any of the programs you are looking for are already in the playground pages of developers;

33  Assistance / Software / Re: Unable to stream music from samba share on: April 26, 2011, 14:44:13 PM
I was wondering the same, finally solved it!  Grin

First make a directory in /mnt;
sudo mkdir /mnt/Mp3

Then mount remote directory to your newly created /mnt/Mp3;
sudo mount -t cifs //192.168.0.XXX/SHARED/DIRECTORY/Mp3 /mnt/Mp3 -o username=YOURUSERNAME,passwd=YOURPASSWORD,noexec

Well, you need to know the IP address as well as username and password on the remote machine. That's it.
Now add your /mnt/Mp3 to Clementine's library and enjoy!...

EDIT: If you'd like to mount the shared directory everytime your machine boots, you need to add it to /etc/fstab list;
sudo nano /etc/fstab

add this to your list;
//192.168.0.XXX/SHARED/DIRECTORY/Mp3 /mnt/Mp3 cifs username=YOURUSERNAME,passwd=YOURPASSWORD,noexec  0 0
34  Assistance / Software / Re: Google Earth-not new but not solved on: April 15, 2011, 08:53:38 AM
Ali Imrek from the Ozgurlukicin.com forums, who is also the coder of a program called "Paso" (Installation builder for Pardus - http://github.com/alierkanimrek/paso) has a solution;

wget https://dl-ssl.google.com/linux/direct/google-earth-stable_current_i386.rpm
rpmunpack google-earth-stable_current_i386.rpm
cd google-earth-stable_current_i386
sudo mv opt/* /opt
sudo mv usr/bin/google-earth  /usr/bin/
sudo cp /opt/google/earth/free/product_logo_32.png /usr/share/pixmaps/google-earth.png
sudo mv /opt/google/earth/free/*.desktop /usr/share/applications/
sudo ln -s /lib/ld-linux.so.2 /lib/ld-lsb.so.3

It works...
If you get an error saying about package download, download the rpm package manually to a folder and continue with the rest by opening the terminal by pressing F4 in the very same folder.

Hosgeldin!

I have been using goldendict for long and I am very much satisfied with it. It support a load of dictionary types, including babylon. It is like the replacement of babylon for linux. You can install it from the official repos, have a look.
37  Assistance / News & Announcements / Re: Pardus 2011 + GNOME or LXDE on: April 03, 2011, 12:14:49 PM
Are that any timeline when they will releasing the final version of them? Smiley
Well, here is the schedule;
http://translate.google.com.tr/translate?js=n&prev=_t&hl=tr&ie=UTF-8&layout=2&eotf=1&sl=tr&tl=en&u=http%3A%2F%2Fnyucel.blogspot.com%2F2011%2F03%2Fmart-ay-comak-surum-takvimi.html

But no further information about the following days. Was it really the pilot episode and end of 1st season at the same time? Will keep you posted if I hear/see anything from the Turkish side.
38  General / General topics / Re: How did you hear about Pardus? on: April 02, 2011, 17:25:54 PM
Distrowatch, in second semester of 2008.
Waited to Jan 2009 to try because Pardus was releasing a new version back then. Pleased with it.

Had to uninstall months later because my computer did not do well with KDE4.
Now Pardus with other DE's are being developed; http://comak.comu.edu.tr/nisanbir/
Enlightenment coming soon Wink
39  Assistance / News & Announcements / Re: Pardus 2011 + GNOME or LXDE on: April 02, 2011, 17:17:39 PM
Yeap, tried both LXDE and Gnome today (only for 1/2 hour each  Grin ) on a 512 MB memory virtual machine. LXDE had a much better performance on such a poor hardware comparing to Gnome (as expected).

Although I prefer KDE4 over Gnome2.32, it is nice to see Pardus running different desktop environments for different tastes. Besides it is stable & supported!
40  Assistance / Configuring Pardus / Re: DNS in 2011 on: April 02, 2011, 17:06:15 PM
Click network manager icon in the system tray > manage connections > choose your connection and click edit > an options window will open, change method from "automatic (DHCP)" to "only automatic addresses (DHCP)"

Now you will notice that "DNS servers" text box is enabled on the very same window. Now you click " ... " at the end of the text box, and add your favourite DNS servers.

PS: Since I use Pardus in Turkish, some terms may not be the exact equivalents in English.
41  Assistance / Laptop / Re: HP Mini 110 cannot recover from hibernation on: March 29, 2011, 13:01:32 PM

Sorry to say the noapic option did not solve the problem...
Sorry to hear it did not work out.
do you have an HP or Compaq Mini 110 or did it work for you with a different laptop?
One was a 7 year old Compaq nx7010 laptop, the other one was a 5 year old desktop.
I saw someone else reported having the same issue with the same laptop in Bugzilla.
Hope you find a solution for it!
42  Assistance / Pardus for beginners / Re: pardus 2011 and corporate 2 on: March 28, 2011, 09:20:27 AM
I find corporate 2 very easy to use, i had used debian lenny kde 3.5,kubuntu trinity kde 3.5.
pardus corporate 2 is excellent. i needed a system that was easy to set up, i will use corporate 2 as long as it exists, i found with kde 4 there is a lot of functions that i dont need , for me with my old hardware
simplicity is the best.
regards.
The main reason this edition was made is the "corporates" as seen from the name  Grin
They (developers) intended to make it easier (transition to linux) for corporations. They chose KDE 3.5 for overcoming incompatibility (graphics cards mostly) and overall system performance issues. Also there are special programs for network control and network communications.
By the way, this edition had LTS (long term support)  Wink
43  Assistance / Bugs / Re: Bluefish locks up on: March 28, 2011, 09:06:55 AM
FURTHER UPDATE:  This only happens when I am in Dolphin and select "Open with Bluefish" for an HTML file.  Starting Bluefish from the command line or the KDE Menu works OK.  I don't read/speak Turkish but I wonder if this is the same as http://bugs.pardus.org.tr/show_bug.cgi?id=14074 in Pardus 2009.  Reported as bug # 17517.
The guy says he cannot start any programs or edit any files when he starts dolphin with root priviledge.
This report has nothing to do with your problem.
44  General / The Pub / Re: Thank You atolboo.... on: March 28, 2011, 09:00:52 AM
There is a joke in Turkish;
"You are not a human atolboo! Nobody can call you so! Anyone who calls you human should lose his eyes!
Because you are an angel Smiley "
45  Assistance / Software / Re: Graphical LVM Manager on: March 28, 2011, 08:58:14 AM
I couldn't find a way to deal with LVM, so I used to install by configuring partitions manually.
This is good news, now I can install by automatic configuration without losing time.
Thanks!
