This wiki page (http://tr.pardus-wiki.org/NASIL:KPPP_ile_GPRS_veya_3G_internet_ba%C4%9Flant%C4%B1s%C4%B1_kurmak) is about kppp and 3g modem settings, unfortunately only in Turkish. Maybe the step-by-step screenshots may lead you to solve the problem. Also the Turkish mobile provider Turkcell uses Huawei brand 3G modems, you should check "Turkcell" part of the mentioned page.

It is also a known bug that some usb devices are not recognized if the computer is started when they are plugged in. Some users from the Ozgurlukicin.com forums said if they did "lsusb", the device was recognized. Some said it did not help and they had to reboot. I believe there are bug reports in Turkish, but you are free to report.

By the way, did you try your device with Pardus 2011? Maybe the problem is already solved?

I had to reinstall a system, used the nightly build iso of Jan 16th. After the installation, I saw that clementine was installed and amarok was missing!
Another thing is, chromium was not installed either, I had to install it from the package manager.

This was spoken on the Ozgurlukicin.com forums also.
We were told that the developers were looking for a workaround for this issue (since it is KDE based). People would like to set their DNS and other settings manually.

Another workaround would be making a setting for the same connection, giving a name of your choice to this connection, setting your DNS and other stuff manually, and choosing it manually from the list at every boot-up. I did not try but should work.

The very same question was asked at the Ozgurlukicin.com forums.
The answer was something like; "This is not a bug of the package manager, do not worry. These updates are due to some regulations and fine-tunings on the mentioned packages (so that they do their job better, in harmony with other parts of the system)."

The screenshots will be used in the package manager program (you must have recognized the ratings and details button on the package list shown on the package manager user interface).

Briefly;
* All windows, fonts, appearance etc. styles should be in default settings (Dejavu font, oxygen style, etc.)
* No additional information (as user name, webpage or email address, etc.) should be seen on the snapshot. In case such information has to be given, info@pardus.org.tr as email, www.pardus.org.tr as website should be given.
* Ksnapshot should be used for taking snapshots, and capturing method should be "window under the cursor" (I am not sure this is a good translation since I do not have that program in English!)
* Small sized (preview) pictures should be 270x190 pixels (exactly) and bigger ones should not exceed 800x600 pixels
* While uploading the images to please only write the name of the package, do not add png or jpeg to the file name.

I would recommend installing the latest nightly build, instead of RC. Because nightly builds contain all the updates, latest packages and settings and etc.

Hi! I am a new member of the forums, and I'm Turkish.
Due to the news from ozgurlukicin.com, there is a project going on, "COMAK, Project of the Year" (Coklu Masaüstü Kurulumu = Multiple DE Installations) http://www.ozgurlukicin.com/haber/bu-yilin-projesi-comak/. Also there are ISO files for installable minimal Pardus (without any default DE's), called "Minimal" on http://ftp.pardus.org.tr/pub/pardus/nightly/2011/minimal/x86_64/

A team of university students (under supervision of an academician) from Canakkale University have been working on this project (http://nyucel.blogspot.com/2010/10/pardus-coklu-masaustu-kurulumu-comak.html).
