Why dont we have wine for Pardus 64bit? That would seem to be a basic and popular pkg for any distro? Both gyachi and wine for 64bit are available in other distro's that use deb, rpm, etc. I just wanna get off the ubuntu bandwagon and use Pardus cause its a much more polished 'neater' distribution.
Anyways, snivel over

Just for grins I tried that repo LOL
Program terminated. Repository 'contrib-2008' is not compatible with your distribution. Repository is disabled.
Yeah. So Pardus has been down this road in the past. I would think (cause I'm dumb like that) it wouldn't be much of a hassle to update stuff like playonlinux and gyachi and get them working on Pardus2011.

I saw those pkgs a couple of weeks ago. Of course I tried them but no-go. lol
One of the dependencies is wine/wine-devel. Pretty sure we won't see a Gyachi pkg from the good people at Pardus until we see a wine pkg first or concurrently. I'm still waitin so I can get off the Ubuntu train!

Ok, bug/pkg request filed. Fingers crossed!
EDIT: ok, my pkg request got rolled into the original one as a duplicate LOL If it only gets an x86 version and not 64 I'm breakin out the really soggy spit-wads!

I don't know anything about chainloading and I am far from a linux guru, but all I do when installing a another distro on a separate partition is install its grub in its partition, copy the entry from that grub into the my boot grub. If that makes sense. LOL Keeps any additional grubs overwriting what's working and potentially messing things up.

To get 2011rc to install, I had to use 'nomodeset'. You can also try 'all-generic-ide'. That as worked for me before in other distros when having vid card issues.

I gave it a spin, modifying pspec.xml to look for gtkhtml3. I got the same output looking for wine. I tried a manual install of wine from winehq but I learned I should wait for a wine package from Pardus LOL
