35  Assistance / Pardus for beginners / Re: upgrade packages on: March 26, 2011, 19:43:52 PM
sudo pisi dr pardus
sudo pisi ar pardus-devel http://packages.pardus.org.tr/pardus/2011/devel/`arch`/pisi-index.xml.xz

there you go. type these in terminal separately and then do sudo pisi up. Smiley

Dependency kdelibs version >= 4.6.1 of kdeutils-filelight cannot be satisfied
System error. Program terminated.
Upgrade is not possible.

38  Assistance / Software / Re: Guide to Installing, and Playing Rift on Pardus 2011 32bit on: March 11, 2011, 21:04:00 PM
You can add the 32bit repo for wine in the 86_64 pisi, but it wont work. I tried numerous time hoping in vain that one day it will magically work
39  Assistance / Software / Guide to Installing, and Playing Rift on Pardus 2011 32bit on: March 11, 2011, 18:40:43 PM
Just wanted to let everyone know, I have played rift on several distros, but when I installed Rift on Pardus 2011 32bit via wine. It appears to run flawlessly, and not to mention faster than the other distros I have tried it in. I will write out how to install and play rift via wine

1. Download wine from the Pisi repos(could only get wine to work in the 32bit, the 64bit would not load)
2. type winetricks d3dx9 in terminal
3. type vcrun2008 in terminal (it will load without this but you cannot join a server with out vcrun2008)
4. download client from rift website(or pop in cd)
5. download update(takes generally about 3 hours no matter what os you are using)
6. Play the game.

An added note you might want to use low quality rendering to speed up FPS.
Enjoy!!!!!!

Do any of the 64bit repos have wine as of yet?

42  Assistance / Software / Re: ESPN3 on: February 01, 2011, 17:07:51 PM
I think it has more to do with ESPN switching to my cable companies site to log in, is where the glitch seems to be
