When I load the install USB of 2011 , I am not able to see the installation screen...It is too blurred and only horizontal lines are displayed which is also flickering...

I have AMD Athlon X2 2 GB RAM Nvidia 7025 chipset

How should I correct this to display Pardus correctly?

This installs GRUB 2 to the USB stick and provides a nice menu...You have to drag and drop ISO into the box and it adds them in Grub 2...I can then include several ISOs as per the capacity of the stick and have Multiple OS' in one stick ..Unetbootin provides installation of only 1 OS

Most of the distros are supported...

Thanks Palius, SW and atolboo

I can really get to check and see where I am missing from the already built files

I think I am choosing the wrong option in Actions.py (PisiYap) ..There are multiple tools like Autotools,CMaketools,Qt4tools etc..

I read the unetbootin page and it is mentioned that Qt4 tools were being used , so I chose that option...But looking at the build , there is mention of Shell tools....

As I am from non programming background , I am finding this part to be difficult!
6  Assistance / Pardus for beginners / Request for new package - Multisystem on: July 06, 2011, 15:17:28 PM
There is a superb utility for creating Live USB

Currently they have packages for Ubuntu / debian and Arch

It would be gr8 if a PiSi is built for this

I tried to extract source file and at the time of build I get " No configure script  found" So I think some expert should try this

I am trying to build unetbootin-549 just for practice purpose.. It may be already there in repo..But I just downloaded Source file and tried to create a PiSi file using PiSiYap. When I give pisi bi , I am always getting the "error workdir   /var/pisi/unetbootin_549-549-1/work/unetbootin_549 does not exist"

I tried to create a dir manually by using mkdir -p in the path above as root

But on build , the dir gets deleted and the same error appears

Pl help

13  Assistance / Pardus for beginners / Creating PiSi package on: February 08, 2011, 09:56:09 AM
I have gone thru the WiKi forums and also troubled a few nice people in PARDUS,,,

If some one could give a small tutorial in English on making a simple PiSi package with example and screenshot , it would be helpful to newbies like me

15  General / Introduce yourself / Hi to All on: February 08, 2011, 09:36:09 AM
Hi All,

I am Vikram from India

We in India are just becomng linux savvy now over the past 2 years or so..I am actually an "Accountant" (Thats right!) ...I do know a bit abt computers and programming..Way back , I studied PASCAL programming in school...So always had the fire to keep up to new developments.

In Fact  i have tried nearly all the distros - U name it I hav tried it...There is something very nice about PARDUS..Really dont know what made it so attractive..The entire theme - the leopard , the nice Icons, The color scheme, PiSi  everything seems so fresh and a good change for a linux user...

I will be hanging around more often!

See Ya!!
