1  Assistance / Pardus for beginners / Re: What are the transparent lines? on: April 29, 2011, 14:28:43 PM
From the image I can see that you don't have your Tool Box widget (unnamed) in the corner of your screen.
Maybe the transparent image (above and bellow) the K3b image has to do with this Huh?

To move the Tool Box widget, right-click > "Unlock Widgets", drag-drop it to the corner  and right-click > "Lock Widgets".

True I don't have the toolbox widgit named but I didn't think this would have anything to do with it but.....then again I am new to kde so I will fiddle with that when I get home.

I just happen to have the k3b open at the time I took a screenshot for example....The lines appear anywhere on the empty desktop...not just in corners etc.

Is there a way to remove the transparent lines I see under this window for example?

I don't have this on my laptop (IBM R61i) But I have it on my desktop (HP dx2200)  What is it the problem here? A fix for it?

3  Assistance / Pardus for beginners / Using a mic on: April 15, 2011, 05:57:59 AM
I would like to record my voice with my external plug in mic, but I can't seem to find a program that will let me record my voice.  Is there something that came with the default install of 2011?

When I go to menu>multimedia>kmix click kmix, nothing opens. Is this where I would find a program for voice recording?
4  Assistance / Pardus for beginners / Re: Auto login feature in 2011? SOLVED... on: March 31, 2011, 01:34:38 AM
Thanks...I have it working now.   I'm new to the kde environment so I'm slowly finding my way around.

5  Assistance / Pardus for beginners / Auto login feature in 2011? on: March 30, 2011, 13:57:03 PM
I'm wondering if there is a way to set up an auto login for Pardus 2011?

I have searched the system settings and cannot seem to locate an auto login feature.  Is it possible? If so how?
