More packages in Pardus repository/CD/DVD becomes similar to the other distros with more packages, but only in terms of number of packages on CD/DVD/repo. I'll don't switch to other distro by the reason of too much desktop environments on DVD. Would be great to choose which ones I want to install and may be switch rapidly between multiple desktop environments and window manager without logging out like in Hybryde Linux
. Would be great to see pisi with orphaned packages management.
And for the other 10% that wants somethng else (packagers and experts), they most of the time take care of themself. They build packages that we can place in the repositoy, and there will be allways a team that continious build packages for the repository.
I'm not sure I understood correctly, but I tried many distros and I switched to pardus though lack of some packages I'm using, so I started to learn pisi packaging and I created packages which I need, so I think packagers don't need disrto with many packages and they think about others and I started to search where I can place my packages to share them.
Pardus doesn't become worse by offering more choices even on one DVD.
