Notecase 1.98 works well on Wine  Smiley

That is what I am thinking too. At first I couldn't see the reason for bundling some applications together that aren't related in terms of what they do (ie. K3B disc burining software with the DjVu utilities- which are scanning-related tools) Remove one of these and you remove all sorts of other apps.

Then I studied the dependencies a little and realized the the devs likely bundled these things together because of common dependency issues which could make problems if I were to install these apps one by one, which could lead to conflicting versions of various libs.

Same with some other bundles: to get Kate text editor, it comes with other utils.

I am finding Pardus very fast and stable and maybe its this approach of bundling applications (which is different than any other distro I've tried) that makes it so.  Smiley

Is there a way for me to have something like, say Gwenview, without necessarily having to install other unrelated packages that I don't want or need?

Example: I uninstalled Djvu utilities and it uninstalled Gwenview, Kolourpicker, K3B and all sorts of other applications - even K3B.

Thanks a lot for this guys!

btw, Focuswriter is a nice thing to have in Linux, there are several programs like this avail in Windows and are quite popular.
5  Assistance / Software / KeepNote? on: April 27, 2011, 19:55:48 PM
I've been using this PIM notetaking app - Keepnote - is there anyway I could put in a request to have it added to some repos?

(or could someone give me a quick hint on how to install it?  Smiley )

*Keepnote is being actively developed, and the dependencies are:
Python2.5 (or any greater 2.X)
sqlite (version >= 3.5.0)
gtkspell (optional)

many tks!
