77  Assistance / Pardus for beginners / Re: Installing/Running Furiusisomount on: November 07, 2011, 09:06:17 AM
Downloaded 'furiusisomount_0.11.3.1.tar.gz'

why?

furiusisomount avaible on http://www.pardususer.de/index.php?action=repository thaks to a.pailus

Where on that page is the reference to downloading Furiusisomount?

The very first link, http://pakete.pardususer.de/pardus-2011/i686/pisi-index.xml.xz, gives an error message.

The how-to section doesn't shed any light on how to install.

Tried that earlier but can't find a reference to countdown on boot page. The last time I adjusted it was during install when I created myself as a user. Think it's set in stone!

Try hitting CTRL-ESC, it will bring up "Systemaktivitet" in Swedish. Smiley

That did the trick.

Thanks.

Thanks for that. It was down to Layouts. Only 'US' was present. Added 'UK' and removed 'US'.
86  Assistance / Pardus for beginners / Keyboard Not OK [SOLVED] on: October 26, 2011, 00:09:47 AM

87  Assistance / Pardus for beginners / Re: Network Connection Not Recovering After Sleep/Hibernation on: October 11, 2011, 06:52:35 AM
There's no problem with connecting one time at startup. I just doesn't re-connect after hibernation/sleep. What I've noticed is that if I just leave it after I wake up the PC it will eventually reconnect. During this (long) wait, the screen is locked and the only activity is the mouse pointer!

Looks like a re-install may be a good idea.

Thanks for the response.
88  Assistance / Pardus for beginners / Network Connection Not Recovering After Sleep/Hibernation [SOLVED] on: October 10, 2011, 15:01:08 PM
After resuming power to my laptop, the network connection is not activated. Even when I try and manually connect nothing happens, not even an error message. Network settings for wireless show 'Mode' set to Infrastructure, 'BSSID' is left blank, 'Restrict To Interface' is set to 'Any' and 'MTU' is Automatic.

To add to the above, the screen appears to be locked after a while.

90  Assistance / Pardus for beginners / Cannot Connect to Network Automatically [SOLVED] on: October 10, 2011, 01:21:26 AM
Using the latest version of Pardus 32-bit on a dual core Advent laptop. When I boot up I have to click once on the tiny circle near the clock and then click on my network item and it connects me.

Edit Netwrok Connection shows the 'Connect automatically' box is checked.

What do I need to do to get the network to connect automatically?

Thanks in advance.
