17  Pardus Anka / News & Announcements / Re: Pardus-Anka – Reaching out to the Community on: February 15, 2013, 07:36:15 AM
Maybe it is not the right place for what I have in mind,so let admins put is somewhere else if they want.I saw site from link given above and that make me think.  Shocked
We want others to get involved in this project and we still don´t have Pardus-Anka English community site on G+ and Pardus-Anka IRC is giving info on Turkish.I think every documentation, support and marketing stuff should be in English, simply because that language understand most people. If we are talking about open source I can not imagine person interested in without basic knowledge of English.I support sites for other languages, but still I think English should be main.Sorry for broken English.  Wink

*I* am a "english " speaker , and I speak with others who are not native "english " speakers.Trust me when I say no one can break "english" harder than a person born to speak english as his milk langauge.
So I propose that the next person to say " Sorry for broken English " be forced to listen to the music "One Pound Fish " 500 times    XD
In all truth, I wish I could speak any other language with such ease.

My apologies, I resorted to idiom unthinkingly.
I meant by the phrase "... to just break even" that the returns will be less than the resources spent.
In the early days of bitcoins , was easy to "mine", but most of the easy part has all ready been harvested.

Edit : the federals of the USA at one point were trying to make bitcoins illegal ( control the money , you control crime , terrorists , or people/organizations you don't like ). "Private Banking Commissions" had SOME interest.

Beyond that I lost interest.

I know enough to know that without significant investment in hardware , software, and knowledge , it'll will be difficult to just break even.

Pardus 2011.2 aún no ha muerto, aún se puede mantener actualizada mientras que llega Anka

27  Assistance / News & Announcements / Re: Pardus website updated on: January 09, 2013, 21:59:31 PM
It looks like the new Pardus based on Debain will be there soon ..

The official website is changed already (only turkish right now?)

http://www.pardus.org.tr/

May as well go with SolusOs 2 ( pisi + debian ) as wait for Tubitak's offerings.
I'll continue with pardus ( as we know it )  for now

Until then , perhaps you should speak with Evowinds, he shows promise , and he seems to have lots of spare energy that an old man seems to lack.....

I had thought the repo was duplicated?
30  General / Wish list / Re: Updates packages on: January 01, 2013, 21:23:23 PM
This work is done by a volunteer not officially anka team.

With respect, this point should have been made with the announcement.

Anglo

Evowinds tried to make updated packages for the only Pardus that still is official. Is that wrong? I wish those Anka guys did that, and not leave the users that are left with out-dated packages (Pardus is a rolling distro). It is not much work to create Pardus 2012 packages from the buildfiles they now all creating. I also tried to setup a repo, but doesn't have enough time in a day to keep it going just by meself.

And is atolboo an official member of Anka? No, but we also use his packages. I give evowinds +1 because he tried it.

I do not disagree with you , all credit to Evowinds,  but to make a informed decision , one needs the information , no?
Since there seems to be TWO capable people ( now ) ,perhaps they should get to-gether and half the others efforts ?!?!
