They were never good at making and selling hardware, the few times they tried , they took a loss . Micorsoft never worked doing software engineering until Windows 3.1, they always made the best money thru "Robber Baron Marketing ".

Hi again! Correct , the page you refer to IS the one I worked from. And his "a few " is a lot more than two. I am sure I picked up his site information from here , but after two or three days of just reading THIS site , I can't tell you for sure where I had seen it.
Now , when I make a trial run , it runs to completion, but I need to provide the source code of other packages before I can even think of running a "make", but this is the fun of figuring out what to do, it mostly all a game for me. Lets see where ELSE I hang up............:-D

Hya Lisa
Trying to compile a program called Enna , to build on the elementary build of Enlightenment. the question above was based on the incomplete compiling envoirement I was getting. However , following the suggestion of pcdomain I added Pardus Corporate , and got my complire envirement from there, so I think THAT problem is SOLVED.
However , not being a genius , I WILL read the howto you give me. By configuration log , do you mean the log generated by the build process ( for warnings , errors , and all other oopies )?
Addendum I see my error now , I didn't use the "-c" switch, D'OH
SOLVED

I feel like such a nOOb, trying to compile , but I keep running into missing components ( no stdio.h is the last one). The last time I went to upgrade , I got a "libpng dependency missing " error.could anyone make a suggestion to cure this?
thank you Anglophony

This is interesting, do you need a "software breaker " by any chance? And as for languages , to quote an actor , " I speak two languages , english , and BAD english"

Howdy, Mark Quite right , I use it all the time, but no tool does everything ( close maybe ),I also have used one or two different plugins ( if firefox stops breaking them) that work when google translate isnt readily available ( nothing worse when trying to do a translation on a click restricted website) .Sometimes , I use opera ( a different web browser ) which has its own limited translation abilities.
Right now I am trying to see what is available to properly handle ( even roughly ) Turkish to English, a task even more daunting than I had thought.
