The less information the more surprise. I hope.
(Thats what it has been so far ...)

1) Close-up this Worldforum by end of 2012.
I see no reason to follow the pardususer.de forum.
( Nore I )

2) Migrate to Mageia forum all together.
Not possible.
(a distro judged good enough for a server by a unsustainable distro ? not even desireable )

4) I hope that in the future Mageia, LinuxMint, Ubuntu, etc. all those can unite.
Yea, yea and MagMintBuntu will be based on Unity Linux.  Smiley
( or the old United linux , backed by SCO )

5) I think having around a dozen Linux distros is sufficient for now. No one needs a couple of hundred.
No one needs a couple of hundred, but everyone can maintain own distro.
( one GOOD one is Enough )

After a long use of the monitor , things get blurry , or strained for me ,at <64 plus cataract surgery , I often need help, so I change background colours or vary them wildly ( anything but monochromatic ), or even deny web pages the right to control colours.
Sometimes I even change the fonts size , or to choose bold settings.

I believe one can download and use microsoft's truetype fonts as well for linux...... : http://corefonts.sourceforge.net/

"I think all -- or most -- of these are available in the Pardus (2011) repos. I'm not sure about openSUSE, though ... I confess that I'm hardly using Pardus these days; I still have it installed, but am waiting to see what happens with Anka. "

old saying " When all you have is a hammer then everything else looks like a nail "
The trick I think is to have as many different TYPES of hammers to handle all those different nails, or in other words , what works for one linux distro should be able to work on OTHER linux distros as well.

And thanks ,these links can be of help to a multilingual community........

Hi, greywalk,

This is just an idea/suggestion (and you may have thought of it already) ... Have you tried contacting SIL for possible assistance? Since they are involved with linguistic computing (such as fonts, keyboard layouts, etc.) and since it seems like some scholars consider Gagauz to be endangered, this might be right up SIL's alley:

Nice links , I'll bookmark them

Hi all, I have been republished on Pardus in PardusLife. PardusLife still alive, there's a new editor that helps me  Wink

I posted a full review of Pardus 2011.3 RC1 Gnome 3 - http://parduslife.wordpress.com/2012/08/28/probando-pardus-2011-3-rc1-gnome-3-se-confirma-que-esta-basada-en-debian-testing/

@greywalk
I am no expert on languages or international keyboard setup, but try these for a start:
http://linuxgazette.net/issue64/sipos.html  and
http://en.vvb.no/tag/xmodmap/ , and perhaps this
http://www.linuxdocs.org/HOWTOs/mini/Intkeyb-3.html

Perhaps one called "phix" would have more to say on this.....

If you go through the recent forum postings looking for pantera , you will find instructions to upgrade your 2011.1 to anka 64 bit

I still maintain a vigil on irc  freenode #pardus-world if you wish to ask questions

Someone can tell us how the works are going and other news about anka?

All I have heard of late are rumors  ( that do not agree with each other ) and a promises for 32 bit anka at months end.

How much I appreciate your work, atolboo, and a.palius, for the software you have built for us to use.  The loss of the pardususer depot will be missed.

I can second ( agree ) with that feeling,

I have moved on to another distro , but now I wonder , what is the size of the .de repos?

I know from reading elsewhere that Turkey has a history of internet access control of convenience.
When you deal with large blocks of addresses , there is some "collateral damage ".
This has been mentioned before by Saygili : http://worldforum.pardus-linux.nl/index.php?topic=4416.0
