Also I think we have not the manpower to make a complete fork.

Chakra forked from Arch with 20 devels
Agillia forked from MOPS with  10 devels.
Fuduntu forked from Fedora with only 7 devels.
When PCLinuxOS forked from Mandriva it only started by one devel.

For the TUBITAK Pardus I Have given up and lost all trust in them. I am using Slackware now. But I would be happy to help the fork.

I forgot to mention, Did anyone here ever hear about a distribution called "LinEX". It's a Debian based distribution from spain. This distro was funded by the Spanish Goverment, Now that the clown called $teve Balmer bribed spain to use M$ Products, spain discontinued LinEX. It got discontinued only a few weeks ago.

About Pardus: it looks like smb (may be in goverment?) decided, that
the best and the only OS for Turkey is W7. Or W8.

This happened a few years ago

Also This is strange that they just killed pardus 2011 like that, It's barely even been a year since it was released. The 2009.x series only got discontinued a few months ago.

Thanks everyone.  Smiley

@richdb the moderater did apologise for taking a long time to respond.

@tribunal I will keep on using pardus and I am not leaving until it gets officially discontinued. But I will defiantly never ever go back to windows.

@Lisa nice to hear. It would be nice if pardus was more popular here in malta. My father (who oftenly fixes computers) did mention he saw ubuntu computers sometimes..

I think a Pardus Fork would be a good Idea. I will use Pardus for now, If it ends I will get either Chakra or Debian.
Might I remind you that there are few discontinued distros that died and got continuations/forks like
MOPSlinux = Agilia
QIlinux = openmamba
opensolaris = openindiana

Btw I have been following this thread for a while, I was waiting for my account to be accepted by the mods.
From Malta (Probably the only user in this country)
