Very likely, for now, but when politicians ( and lawyers ) get involved , who can tell for sure.......
well i can prepare a full legal memorandum on the matter if you send me 1.000 usd  Grin
then you'll see the difference between hearsay, rumor,  false, prejudiced "reports" (?!), press misinformation, etc. AND real, concrete evidence.

@Anglo: Stop being a PITA and speak openly!
Wikipedia info that you give is total b.s. There is NO requirement in Turkey "that all computers select one of four levels of content filtering (family, children, domestic, or standard) in order to gain access to the Internet".
As for the sites banned, as it is stated by Wikipedia itself, they are pornographic (esp. child pornography), and violation of international intellectual property rights, since Turkey is bound to follow international agreements (EU, UN, etc.).
So be open and clear when you childishly try to blame Turkey. Then I will give you more responses that you deserve.

there is no turkish firewall, no banning.
i wrote from turkey/istanbul as you can all see. no hidden ip, no backway, no trick.
people who think themselves to be very high, who pretend to be doing a great job, tend to get paranoid from time to time and create artificial enemies as excuses.
who really cares about Pardus Worldforum any more?! why ban it?!
i write this only because some "foreigners" might get the wrong impression that turkey is a non-free country.
turkey is a free country.

Dear WF people,

Let's not deceive ourselves and waste each others' time. The truth is that Pardus is dead.

There is a line between dreaming (which is fine) and over-dreaming (which is a disaster).

1) TUBITAK said "I'm out!" about 6 months ago.

2) Then came the ANKA volunteers, who seemed "okay" by that time.

3) According to enki (Nihad Karsli - head of ANKA?!), first, it was the Mothers' Day back in May 13th 2012, then it was the June 2nd, then it was the 30th August (great Turkish army victory against the Brits, Greeks, etc. back in 1922).

4) Now, enki makes new promises about 9th September (re-conquest of Izmir (Smyrna) by the Turks in 1922 & "pouring" of the Anatolian Greeks into the Aegean Sea as some nationalist Turks depict), 29th October (announcement of the new Turkish Republic after the collapse of the Ottoman Empire). We can't go anywhere with these nationalistic approaches, historical hates, within the Linux community. Greeks, Spaniards, Italians, Portuguese, Turks, Armenians, Kurds, Iranians, Americans, English, French, German, etc., basic population worldwide, are all jobless, unemployed (i.e., out of cash), against the globalist monetary emperors & their culprits. We can't afford to hate each other for stupid historical reasons.

5) In the meantime, over the past month, TUBITAK got re-involved and came out with Pardus-Debian, Pardus-Corporate, etc. This messed-up the Pardus community even further.

I only care about the Linux community worldwide.

1) We must UNITE to survive.
2) We must get more ORGANIZED to reach end (home) users, simple people worldwide, millions, billions.

Just before he left this Worldforum, jasperodus recommended "Mageia". Reading his lines, I think jasperodus was the person in this forum with the greatest common sense & humility. So I follow him.

(For Turks who cannot speak a foreign language, there is a Turkish version of Mageia (like some other distros, Ubuntu, LinuxMint, etc.). The point is to get united.)

Turks may be left a little behind in math, science, etc. But they can catch up if they act in good faith and follow order. Order & discipline is necessary if you really want to achieve something, get a job done. Translation is no problem.

Conclusion:
1) Close-up this Worldforum by end of 2012.
2) Migrate to Mageia forum all together.
3) I am not forcing Mageia on anyone. I just request their contribution to Mageia. I know there are many Linux experts in this group who can handle & juggle many distros simultaneously. They can help out with many distros.
4) I hope that in the future Mageia, LinuxMint, Ubuntu, etc. all those can unite.
5) I think having around a dozen Linux distros is sufficient for now. No one needs a couple of hundred.
6) Eventually, we might have a couple of distros. Only then we (Linux community) can accomplish real worldwide popularity, recognition, usage -- and bring down monetary empires.

I have moved on to another distro , ...

Which one?
