61  General / As seen on the internet / Re: SolusOS could take the package Pisi on: September 08, 2012, 12:31:29 PM
we are working for pardus, what you make richdb?

I have no idea who we are? Maybe you know.

And I think Ikey (of SolusOS) tell in one mail more about future plans, roadmaps, etc then
Anka have done in the last months.

I have more faith in Ikey and SolusOS. And I hope they are going to use PISI, so Anka can
also take avantage of it

And I think the same as Murat

SolusOS has a much bigger community then Pardus or Anka.
Is high on the distro list, so in the picture

Anka can create the KDE (and maybe more if they like)

But think SolusOS has already more knowledge about creating a distro, so why not
create a repo that both can use? Work together is the solution here.

Only Anka not has the community, knowledge that SolusOS has. Be happy that SolusOS
is maybe gonna using PISI. This can be the new Pardus we all be waiting for.

This is the best news since months!!!!!!

SolusOS (nubmer 19 at distrowatch) is gonna use PISI.

I hope the Anka people join SolusOS, because it looks like SolusOS
already has more users and bigger community.

64  General / General topics / Re: Pardus_2011.3rc1_KDE_Gnome on: August 25, 2012, 10:11:02 AM
Tried the Gnome x64 edition in VirtualBox ...
It is Gnome 3.4.2 Smiley

And if I look at the whole setup it looks a little like the setup
of LinuxMint Debian Edition (not the look and feel, but the installer
and the use of Debian as base).

But ... we got something, it is working, lot of software that is stable
(Debian base). For me as user it is OK.

Only question .. who developed this ISO's? Looks like Tubitak has some
other party that develop it. It is not the Anka group, and now we have
2 Pardus? One based on Debian and one based on the old PISI (the one
Anka still try to develop).

68  General / The Pub / Re: World Forum Admin/Structure, and relevance in aim for wider structure. on: July 09, 2012, 08:43:27 AM

First of all I am just the moderator of this forum. The real owner (and also the one that pay for the server and owns the URL's) is Willem Gielen. Only his time for Paruds is these days almost 0% (busy in RL). So every change, etc most go through him. All I know is that the server where this worldforum is place on has 'out-of-dated' software version of PHP, etc. That is also why the registration for the forum is not automatic (I get spammed then).

The ideas are good, if there are more in this forum who want to help. But maybe we should totaly start a new forum, layout, etc because Anka is not Pardus and Pardus is not Anka. Maybe we can use for this 'new-style' media. I was thinking about Google Plus as main site and Google Groups for the forum part, create a Facebook site, twitter account, and what more.

Only that is also way I was asking for the name and logo. We need the name (but Anka is ok for me) and the logo, so we can start to tell the world that this new awesome rocking distro is coming their way ..

70  Pardus Worldforum Meeting / Meeting agenda / Re: AGENDA: Meeting (#3) July 7th 2012. on: July 06, 2012, 15:54:02 PM
Some points for the agenda:

- Choosing a name. I personal like Anka (I love short names), and it already becomes a little recognized.
- Choosing a logo http://worldforum.pardus-linux.nl/index.php?topic=4417.msg24755;topicseen#msg24755
- Allocate tasks, mostly publicity first. But think about creating Google Plus page, Facebook page, Devianart for icons, sounds, wallpapers, etc.
- Maybe to early yet, but allready some names for team leaders? https://docs.google.com/document/d/13zcSKA2wyKKbji7wh2_xWqpltFGchEZShXiVud7EI4c/edit?pli=1
71  Pardus Worldforum Meeting / Meeting report / Re: RESULTS , MEETING JUNE 27 , 2012 on: July 06, 2012, 08:33:02 AM
@Dirse I think the long silences is more an IRC problem (lagg in network, connection errors). An other option can be using Google Hangout for the meetings.

@Anglo Can you place this reports as new subject? So every report is a new subject. (I cannot find a way to move a part of a subject to some other place).
