Since this is still KDE 3.5 I guess you could make use of this old thread:

Removing Pardus name from menu and modifying launch feedback

63  General / General topics / Re: Salute to Pardus for its Kurumsal 2 on: April 03, 2011, 12:39:08 PM
I read that e.g. Zarafa has been ported to a PISI package for the Corporate 2 repositories, i.e. I guess the type of available software packages in the Corporate 2 version may be less then the amount of packages available for Pardus 2011 but the Corporate 2 version is defintely focused on a different end user type then the regular Pardus 2011 version (which by the way comes in more and more desktop environment flavours like Gnome, Fluxbox, XFCE, LXDE, but not any longer with KDE 3, only KDE4).

Earlier I also noticed that Evolution is available as PISI package in the Corporrate 2 repo.

Probably you guys could release the Xfce version straight out of the box (while Xfce is still sane)?

Did you mean this?

66  General / Wish list / Re: Ushahidi Interactive Mapping Program Request on: March 30, 2011, 09:26:27 AM
As dar as I get the point this is a typical webbased application using (PHP) files on your webserver and a connection to a  (MySQL) database on that server.

(Comparable to e.g. certain forum software like SMF, MyBB, phpBB, blog software (e.g. WordPress, project management software, etct etc)

In essence these application only need an internet connection and a webbrowser, and for setting up a FTP file upload.

So I guess atolboo, like me, is somewhat puzzled why it is requested as a Pardus linux feature.

Does this mean that apart from the webbased application (you can set that up with Filezilla for FTP file transfer and e.g. phpMyAdmin to manage your databse) there is also some sort of client version software that needs to be installed on your local system?

The good news is that Craig emailed me he must have misunderstood something, I just registered a brand new account for him and I am pleased to see him back again on board here in the Worldforum.

Furthermore, in general I would like to take the opportunity to state that I really appreciate the friendly atmosphere and helpfullness of all of you in this Worldforum

70  Assistance / News & Announcements / Re: Pardus 2011 + XFCE [Nusrat] released on: March 21, 2011, 08:37:40 AM
Awesome!!!

ETA: I meant awesome that the XFCE version was released. Is this release on behalf of Pardus or is it your own?

it is on behalf of pardus and developed by ÇoMak team (we know them from 64bit pardus project). i guess there is a protocol between ÇoMaK team and Tubitak about this project and results of this work will participate pardus project directly.

You know what? I'm not even going to put up with this. Goodnight, gone, goodbye.

It is rather unclear to me what was going on here in this thread?
Obviously Craig was not amused, but the reason why is unclear, could it be just misunderstandang / a language matter so a communication problem, or is Craig involved in previous XFCE ports of Pardus and bypassed, or is it something else that led to Craig's farewell?

Craig stated: "Discussion of Religion and Politics never results in anything good."

But I do not get the point: have messages been deleted here that were offensive? Because I do not directly see any politics or religion being discussed here, unless that is concluded from the phrase " protocol between ÇoMaK team and Tubitak" ?

Anyhow I am quite puzzled and regret that both these respected forum members obviously got words and split up.

72  General / General topics / Re: Where Did Half Our Members Go? on: March 20, 2011, 16:50:45 PM
Yes I deleted 1/3 to 1/2 of ghost members that had not logged in for over 2 years anymore and ahd posted 0 or 1 post. I was quite shocked how many ghost-members there were over here.

Sometiems you need to clean up.

Anybody always welcome to return and re-register of course.

74  Assistance / Configuring Pardus / Re: Wireless not powering on on: February 20, 2011, 09:13:34 AM
Perhaps not relevant at all, but perhaps also to basic to easily overlook: did you mark the checkbox in Kaptan when you first configured your wireless connection? You can check that by opening the Network Manager application (GUI) to see whether the checkbox of the connection that you want to use is checked?
75  Assistance / News & Announcements / Re: Pardus Corporate 2 is ready. on: February 16, 2011, 19:18:59 PM
Hi,

The Final release of the Pardus Corporate 2 is now available at:

Installation Images:

   (32 bit)    ftp://ftp.pardus.org.tr/pub/ISO/Installation/Corporate2/i686/
   (64 bit)    ftp://ftp.pardus.org.tr/pub/ISO/Installation/Corporate2/x86_64/

Live Images:

   (32 bit)    ftp://ftp.pardus.org.tr/pub/ISO/Live/Corporate2/i686/

the images in DAO (Disc-At-Once) mode with a maximum of 4X burning
speed for a painless installation experience.

Pardus Corporate 2 is shipped with KDE 3.5.10 which has a good reputation for
its stability and performance. All other components of the system are updated
