It ahs been over a year and unfortunately still no PISI package for Calibre.

Apparently the compiling process is quite hard to get it coded right in the PISI package.

Also the pisifying of Calibre crossed woth the new Pardus versions being realeased (2011, Corporte 2 ), I have posted a request for an update on the current status of the pisifying process of Calibre.

Hope things can be finished soon....having Calbire available as a PISI package in Pardus would be a great thimg

I read that e.g. Zarafa has been ported to a PISI package for the Corporate 2 repositories, i.e. I guess the type of available software packages in the Corporate 2 version may be less then the amount of packages available for Pardus 2011 but the Corporate 2 version is defintely focused on a different end user type then the regular Pardus 2011 version (which by the way comes in more and more desktop environment flavours like Gnome, Fluxbox, XFCE, LXDE, but not any longer with KDE 3, only KDE4).

Earlier I also noticed that Evolution is available as PISI package in the Corporrate 2 repo.

As dar as I get the point this is a typical webbased application using (PHP) files on your webserver and a connection to a  (MySQL) database on that server.

(Comparable to e.g. certain forum software like SMF, MyBB, phpBB, blog software (e.g. WordPress, project management software, etct etc)

In essence these application only need an internet connection and a webbrowser, and for setting up a FTP file upload.

So I guess atolboo, like me, is somewhat puzzled why it is requested as a Pardus linux feature.

Does this mean that apart from the webbased application (you can set that up with Filezilla for FTP file transfer and e.g. phpMyAdmin to manage your databse) there is also some sort of client version software that needs to be installed on your local system?

 

Is FF 4.0 also available for those who like me still are on Pardus 2009 ?

FF 3.6.15 is what I have as current version in P2009

It is rather unclear to me what was going on here in this thread?
Obviously Craig was not amused, but the reason why is unclear, could it be just misunderstandang / a language matter so a communication problem, or is Craig involved in previous XFCE ports of Pardus and bypassed, or is it something else that led to Craig's farewell?

But I do not get the point: have messages been deleted here that were offensive? Because I do not directly see any politics or religion being discussed here, unless that is concluded from the phrase " protocol between ÇoMaK team and Tubitak" ?

Anyhow I am quite puzzled and regret that both these respected forum members obviously got words and split up.

Yes I deleted 1/3 to 1/2 of ghost members that had not logged in for over 2 years anymore and ahd posted 0 or 1 post. I was quite shocked how many ghost-members there were over here.

Sometiems you need to clean up.
