If you want to use system commands, you must login as root. Use
Code:
su -
command to do that (not just su).

I have ADSL too, but my modem makes the connection itself. Then makes wireless broadcast to my laptop, there's no problem with my ADSL. If you need this package in the release, please send a bug report at http://bugs.pardus.org.tr

23  General / Wish list / Re: Graficcard automatically configured on: May 11, 2008, 10:02:42 AM
Maybe it won't be fully automatic but you will be able to install drivers with a single click on the new display-manager in Pardus 2008.
24  Assistance / Configuring Pardus / Re: During booting in text mode on: May 10, 2008, 16:19:59 PM
open service-manager in Tasma and set kdebase to off. Or just type service kdebase off in command line...
This way Pardus will always start in text mode.
25  Assistance / Configuring Pardus / Re: Nvidia Graficcard 7050 on: May 10, 2008, 10:41:50 AM
I suggest removing all nvidia drivers you installed and only install nvidia-tools-new package with its dependencies. Then if you remove /etc/X11/xorg.conf, Pardus will create a new one using installed nvidia drivers for you. (remove it with sudo rm /etc/X11/xorg.conf then restart X with CTRL+ALT+BACKSPACE)
26  Assistance / Software / Re: Where's Dolphin file manager? on: May 09, 2008, 13:24:13 PM
Actually, you can install Doplhin from contrib repository.
27  General / Wish list / Re: why I never receive answer to my request? on: May 01, 2008, 06:30:03 AM
Then your package has some problems.
Normally the command in the desktop file should be this:
Code:
LD_PRELOAD=/opt/libstdc/libstdc++.so.6.0.10 skype
28  General / General topics / Re: Can the Pardus e-zine become available in other languages than turkish alone on: April 27, 2008, 11:32:46 AM
Actually e-zine doesn't include so much news. There's a news about gsoc which is already available in official Pardus web site in English, and a sneak preview of new kaptan which is produced by running current codes in pardus svn repository.

Other things are just package reviews of Hydrogen, KGet, Boncuk and Urban Terror. Those are already available in English at so much places on Internet...

PS: Sorry but we're (or just some people around me) really having hard time translating things from English to Turkish at this time (eg. 20% of kde4 is not available in Turkish). But we'd welcome any translators that would like to translate e-zines to English.
29  General / General topics / Re: Can the Pardus e-zine become available in other languages than turkish alone on: April 27, 2008, 11:21:45 AM
To make it translateable, it should've been written in English and that's not possible at this moment. Because all e-zine authors are from Turkish community and they don't know that much English...

I don't think it will be in other languages unless English speaking community makes an e-zine.
30  Assistance / Software / Re: Opera and Flash Problem on: April 11, 2008, 14:19:49 PM
Opera works with the old version of flash player:
http://paketler.pardus.org.tr/pardus-2007/macromedia-flash-9.0.31.0-7-6.pisi

But keep in mind that it has some security problems.
