Will it work for 'OpenOffice' when copied to the Mozilla folder?
I have found dictionaries indeed in the folder you indicated but thought they were used by Mozilla or something.

I've got the answer already!
Found the dictionaries.pisi and the help.pisi I believe on the Pardus FTP, downloaded, put them on the USB stick, moved them to the desktop in Pardus, installed manually via the terminal, both works like a charm!

Yes there is!
Open the console/terminal and type: sudo pisi it <file name> where <file name> holds the complete file name *inclusive* extension.
That does the trick!
Using the console/terminal logically overrules package management.

Thanks for your reply!
Where can I get this 'openoffice-dicts' package?
I have no internet connection so I have to download it manually, via my Apple iMac, put it on a USB stick, transfer it to Pardus, etc. :? :? :?

Hello there,
After downloading a tarball package what is the default place to unzip?
Windows has the 'Program Files' folder and MAC OS X has the 'Applications' folder.
Now I have unzipped the tarball package to the 'Home' folder but I don't know whether or not this is correctly?
Thanks!

Hi there,
When I activate 'spell check when you type' nothing happens: no red underlined words appeared - even when I make mistakes.
When I activate 'spell check' (with F7 key) spell checking opens and quits again immediately stating: 'Spell checking completed'.
How come?
Thanks!

Assistance / Pardus for beginners / Installing NVU problem

Hi there,
I have downloaded the NVU HTML editor on my Apple iMac (as a .pisi file) and put the file on an USB stick to transfer to Pardus 2007 (Pardus 2007 has no internet connection).
When I double click the .pisi file in Pardus 2007 (I moved it from the USB stick to the desktop first) package management tries to go online - with no luck ofcourse and installment of NVU is halted.
Is there a way to install NVU without package management going online?
Thanks!

Hi there,
I have no internet connection with Pardus 2007 - I can, however, download a wallpaper .jpg with my seperate Apple iMac and transfer the .jpg on a USB stick to Pardus 2007.
How can I manage the new wallpaper to show up in Pardus 2007?
Thanks!

Hi Willem,
When I follow your method as described above, package management tries to go online, but unfortunately I have no internet connection.
Is there a way to install the .pisi without package management trying to connect to the internet?

I think I like to try NVU as well, however, I have no internet connection.
I can download NVU via my Apple iMac G4, put the file on my USB stick, and transfer it to Pardus.
What file do I need - the tarball file?
How do I install manually in Pardus?
