OK, I'll do that, thanks.

Already did, but it doesn't help. My question is:

Why, something that works with Pardus 2007 and for that matter, Slackware and Arch to name a few, doesn't work with Pardus 2008? I also tried not to install GRUB, so I think the problem is related to the installer.

Thanks.

Thanks, but it's not an upgrade, it´s a new install.

I'm having a problem when I try to install Pardus on a Multi Disk / Multi Partition configuration, when I press the Install button I get the following message in a popup window named: Unhandled exception occured!

Code:
Error: Error informing the kernel about modifications to partition
/dev/sda5 -- Device or resource busy. This means Linux won't know about
any changes you made to /dev/sda5 until you reboot -- so you shouldn't
mount it or use it in any way before rebooting.
<class 'parted.error'>

  self._disk.commit()

And, at the bottom of the screen, in the brown background message status bar appears a message: Writing disk tables ... and it stays so till I reboot.

I have different partitions, one with WinXP and 2 with two other distros, it install fine if I use a whole disk dedicated to Pardus and I didn't have this problem with Pardus 2007.

Any ideas?

Sorry, I forgot to mention that:

Yes, I've tried that and then "sudo pisi upgrade", also from the Package Manager but nothing.

Really strange.

Hi,

I've installed Pardus 2 weeks ago and automatically update 20 pkgs, since then when I try to do an update, it keeps telling me there is no update available, wich is wrong because I checked the Pardus repo and there are a lot of updated pkgs, for example:

Installed package:
Name: kernel, version: 2.6.18.8, release: 80, build 47

Kernel in the Repo:
kernel-2.6.18.8-82-51.pisi

I've tried "pisi rdb" with no luck.

Any ideas?

Thanks.
