Assistance / Installing Pardus / USB CD- Drive
|

Maybe
Pardus reads USB CD- drive as USB- Stick or USB- Harddisk. So it will read it as Sda1 instead hdc.
I only know something than complicated problemsolving.
On CD there is an directory /boot/grub with the files menu.lst and grub.conf those files must be changed hdc to Sda1.
This means You have to copy CD to harddrive, change the files, writing a new CD, then install.
I guess there are much more elegant solutions, because I am not a profi.
Hope this could be helpfull

Assistance / Configuring Pardus / ADSL Networkmanager
|

Hi zloby,
so it is. I use a normal develo ADSL-modem by Simens. A patient of mine uses a routing modem. With routing modem it is no problem to connect directly over Networkmanager.
The fact is in Suse for example it is possible to get connection withe Networkmanager over "normal" ADSL-modem without routing funktion.
Maybe once this will also possible in Pardus

Assistance / Configuring Pardus / Adsl- connection with networkmanager

Hi bahri
tried the same. It is not possible to connect Internet via Networkmanager, so I went back to rpppoe.
By the way if You are new in Pardus and Linux also than me, it takes time to find out how to connect internet.
I looked at other distros. Knoppix and Kubuntu uses something like rpppoe. In Suse it is possible to connect directly internet with something like Networkmanager, because they have a inboxfield where you are able to insert Name and Password for internetconnection. Maybe it is possible to chanche this in Pardus future distros.
But at least I am very glad about Pardus, do not use Windows anymore.

Thanks for Your help. The driver was allready installed. I will try to configure the printer again on weekend and see if it functions after my work.
I guess it could probably be a problem of USB- connection. No data seems to reach the printer. I will see.
