The bonus you threw in, sucks. Really. I'de expect something a lil more flashier from a big mouth.

SOLUTION:
Let's try Kopete, "Testbed" sounds about right for what I'm after. Hmmm, maybe I have to try Settings, Configure. Devices sounds right again.....

I've seen kopete, never used it.
Who'd think you need a messenger application to power video cam.

Thanks Ceasar the horrible.
Image shack is alright.

As a bonus I'll add a copy of a good book you might want to consider reading.

Hey Holmes, you can post it as you wish.
And no, neither of your languages are normal.

I stated time's over that its old. Wouldn't think its wireless?

To power something, perhaps turn it on? an application to turn it on.
Oh wait is this the elecrtric wiring forum.

After 3 weeks of brain freeze, I was able to figure out a basic configuration for vhost.conf files.
This is just a"BASIC" setup practice to be able to run more than one server using apache's name base virtualhost.

01_server1_vhost.conf

NameVirtualHost *:80

<VirtualHost *:80>   --------------------------------------> Apache listens to all request on port :80
ServerAdmin nobody@nohoo.com
DocumentRoot /var/www/localhost/server1 folder
ServerName www.server1.com  -------------------------------------->     "www".server1.com
ErrorLog /var/www/localhost/server1 folder/-error_log
CustomLog /var/www/localhost/server1 folder/-access_log common
</VirtualHost>

Options Indexes FollowSymLinks
-------------------------------
02_server1.com_vhost.conf

NameVirtualHost *:80

<VirtualHost *:80>
ServerAdmin nobody@nohoo.com
DocumentRoot /var/www/localhost/server1 folder
ServerName server1.com                ----------------------------------> server1.com
ErrorLog /var/www/localhost/server1 folder/-error_log
CustomLog /var/www/localhost/server1 folder/-access_log common
</VirtualHost>

Options Indexes FollowSymLinks
-------------------------------
03_server2_vhost.conf

NameVirtualHost *:80

<VirtualHost *:80>
ServerAdmin nobody@nohoo.com
DocumentRoot /var/www/localhost/server2 folder
ServerName www.server2.com             --------------------------------> "www".server2.com
ErrorLog /var/www/localhost/server2 folder/-error_log
CustomLog /var/www/localhost/server2 folder/-access_log common
</VirtualHost>

Options Indexes FollowSymLinks
-------------------------------
04_server2.com_vhost.conf

NameVirtualHost *:80

<VirtualHost *:80>
ServerAdmin nobody@nohoo.com
DocumentRoot /var/www/localhost/server2 folder
ServerName server2.com              ----------------------------------->  server2.com
ErrorLog /var/www/localhost/server2 folder/-error_log
CustomLog /var/www/localhost/server2 folder/-access_log common
</VirtualHost>

Options Indexes FollowSymLinks

01 and 02 are the same server as is 03 and 04.
This way,,,server1 and server2 accepts request regardless if "www" is entered at beginning of domain name.
I had probs with that.

53  Assistance / Pardus for beginners / Logitech Web Cam on: November 09, 2007, 09:45:51 AM
I have an old web cam. I installed logitech web cam package but can't find something to power it. Logitech site don't provide drivers. It's an old quickcam xpress.
54  Assistance / Pardus for beginners / Installing nvidia packages on: November 07, 2007, 23:33:18 PM
My old habbit was to simply install the packages(glx,kernel,tools) from Package Manager then run codes in a konsole.

Code:
sudo pisi ur
sudo pisi it nvidia-kernel nvidia-glx nvidia-tools
sudo nvidia-xconfig

I learned that by uninstalling nvidia packages in Package Manager then running codes in a konsole, your kernel? gets upgraded or built better?at the same time installing the appropriate nvidia packages resulting in much better graphs than I had already.

55  Assistance / Pardus for beginners / Re: DNS Server on: November 06, 2007, 22:13:52 PM
I should've had a V8.

Hey,Thanks Caesar. I should had thought about visiting LifeHackers.
 Gina T. is a Maestra at her posts.

So Far got good linksys customer support.
I Set up the LinkSys befsx41 's dmz port management and port triggering.

dnsexit.com is providing temporary demo services, as to pointing my domain name(.com) to my dmz generated dhcp ip address( LinkSys befsx41)(dmz host).

From linksys router login page, dmz port fowarding to internal ip address(network).

Where apache listens.

Before I give this a go later.

Can someone please tell me if accidently misconfiguring your bind's  named.conf and named.ca
files can result in any booting probs.

These bind conf files; They are basically? giving what directive?
I would really like to set up a dns server so that I won't need to $pay$ for dns services.

Thanks Again Caesar Cool

This here is good.  http://www.aboutdebian.com/dns.htm

Right on,
57  Assistance / Pardus for beginners / Re: DNS Server on: November 06, 2007, 03:04:02 AM
Yes Caesar,, I can access my web site(www.stonecuban.com) via location address bar on firefox using ip# or .com name from my other pc that hook up to verizon.

Currently my main pc's  isp is verizon
Server isp is timewarner (dynamic ip 72.134.97.88)
Both are hooked to thier seperate modems,
I'm disconnecting verizon soon.

ww.godaddy.com Left me dnsless. (tech support clearly stated that "I need a static ip to point my domain names")
Well actually, I can direct(point) my .com names to a static ip connection. A static ip at this point for me is unaffordable. I've only got to computers connected.

I got here a new linksys befsx41 that i disconnected to test my websites connectivity outside a network.
I haven't bought the service(dnsexit.com) as i'm still using their demo which works.
They are gonna get me for about $2o a year per domain for thier sevices.
I have a few registered .com names.
I did a lil research, opened my bind folders and stared at named,conf file with shivers.
Any and all help would sure be recieved with gratitude.

58  Assistance / Pardus for beginners / Re: Locate & updatedb on: November 05, 2007, 21:25:56 PM
find' searches the filesystem and looks at the actual situation.
locate' searches a database and looks at the situation stored in the database.

"Updatedb" is the command to update the 'locate' database.

So before running locate, you want to run updatedb to update the internal database. Cool

59  Assistance / Pardus for beginners / Re: Locate & updatedb on: November 04, 2007, 05:12:36 AM
Hey Caesar, So you're saying updatedb is a utility that allows us to update internal files like named.ca and named.conf in our bind folders.

60  Assistance / Pardus for beginners / Re: no internet on: November 02, 2007, 22:16:39 PM
If you think your pc and or internet will perform better using the onboard ethernet , Then you can always upgrade Pardus using your ethernet card connection then switch from ethernet card to onboard ethernet. It could or should work.

(network packages in pisi should  define and display your internet connection better)
