Pardus is running again... Here's how I got it fixed. I changed my Ubuntu root password same as Pardus root password and after that I could edit Pardus root files from Ubuntu. Then I had to run upgrade again for Pardus from the text mode. Maybe Pardus has halted before previous upgrade was ready and that cause the problem. I hope this going to work now on, 'cos it seems Pardus could be my next operating system after all (don't like dual booting  Smiley). There's couple apps missing what I need but I think I could figure it out somehow. Example it would be nice if you could resize pics straight from the context menu like you can change image format allready and aMule would be great... Wink

Here's the broblem, after installing some updates, Pardus won't start anymore. I think the fix for that previous fan problems was this:

echo -n 0 > /proc/acpi/fan/FN1/state
echo -n 0 > /proc/acpi/fan/FN2/state
echo -n 3 > /proc/acpi/fan/FN1/state
echo -n 3 > /proc/acpi/fan/FN2/state

Now after the updating, whole local.start file is missing (I took a look from Ubuntu to Pardus partition) and Pardus won't boot. How can I put it back or skip that from boot? Ubuntu let's me look Pardus Root files, can't do to them anything. There was other broblems after update too, some apps didn't start anymore and whole system was very slow... Is there any way to  restore "default" settings, other than re-install?

Ok... This is scary  Shocked. Broblem is vanished. Just another boot and fan is running and no mouse freeze yet.  Grin

Just installed Pardus on my Amilo laptop and got same broblems like with my other distro Ubuntu. With Ubuntu those broblems can be fixed by editing /boot/grub/menu.lst and adding options noapic, irqpoll and acpi=off. With Pardus same tricks not seems to work. Fan is not working and laptop keeps booting 'cos of over heat. Or it freezes, no usb mouse or anything else usb related doesn't work after little while use. Any ideas?
