Just file the bug. If they need more information they'll ask for it.

Some time ago I already filled out a bug-report about this problem (http://bugs.pardus.org.tr/show_bug.cgi?id=7524) but I still didn't get any answer. Maybe this time we'll get a reaction?

I read in another topic that you use 2008. This is just a beta version and is not yet stable.

Why don't you use the stable 2007.3 version?

Hi Andreas,

Thanks for trying to help me out. Actually, this is not what my problem is. I just cannot select the parallel port, and therefore I haven't come to selecting the driver.
28  Assistance / Hardware / Installing Canon BJC-4300 printer under 2008 beta on: June 07, 2008, 12:16:33 PM
Yesterday I have installed 2008 beta 1 on my PC, but I have a problem installing my Canon BJC-4300 printer. It's an oldie, connected trough the parallel port. I never used this printer on Pardus, or whatever linux distro before. Something tells me that I have seen a simulair problem before on this forum before, but I cannot find it. So that's why I don't make a bug report for it immediately.

This is what happens: When I trie to add a printer in Tasma a wizard pops up where I can choose how printer is connected. But the option needed (parallel, serial, USB) is grey and therefore I am not able to select it.
After that I also tried to add the printer directly in CUPS. But Cups actually gives the same problem.

Are there any commands to check the printer is connected, or that the port isn't damaged or something?
29  Assistance / Configuring Pardus / Re: ati driver xpress200m on laptop HP DV5041EA on: February 10, 2008, 22:23:23 PM
I have the same card in my laptop.
Just follow this: http://en.pardus-wiki.org/Atidrivers

You only have to change the installation command to:
sudo pisi it http://paketler.pardus.org.tr/pardus-2007/ati-drivers-8.42.3.pisi

Then you'll have the latest available drivers in pardus.

I am wondering if anyone out here has any experience with synchronizing a PocketPC in Pardus. On the Dutch forum I was already told that it doesn't work, but I would like to know if someone knows more.

I found a tool called Multisync (http://multisync.sourceforge.net/) but it is not available in the repo. But I found something else (msynctool). I asume that msynctool does the same as multisync, but it is working from the command line. Can anyone confirm that?

And what about Synchronizing my mobile phone? That should also be possible with both programs.

This look also very interesting: http://www.synce.org/moin/SynceTools/SynceKpm
