It has been quite a while ago when I posted this topic. I would like to compile it, but don't know how. Is there a tutorial how to do it?

I would like to see mp3gain in pardus. Or is there already such a program available in the repo?

Assistance / Hardware / Ipod shuffle

I've got an ipod shuffle. I got it as a present. I was tryng to connect to it with Amarok, but I don't know how to do it. In Amarok is a button to make a connection with devices, but I don't know what to enter in that screen.
I am able to open it in Konqueror, but I think it would be easier to use Amarok to copy my music to the device.

Assistance / Laptop / Re: MAJOR MAJOR issue

I don't know about the latest kernel update, I will take a look at it when I am home from work. But I have read once on a Ubuntu forum that the cardreader as I have in my laptop (Acer 5102) is supported in Ubuntu.
If I remember it well Ubuntu works with a newer kernel, which supports my type of cardreader.
I don't see it as a problem, because I don't use memory cards with my laptop.

Assistance / Installing Pardus / Installing without programs
|
on: September 23, 2007, 11:07:23 AM
|
|
I wonder if it's possible to install pardus without all the programs. I am planning to build a PC just for playing music. And so I just would need to have Amarok installed.
Is there a way that I only install Pardus with KDE? Then the needed programs can be installed with Pisi.
Thanks

Assistance / Software / Re: Amarok freezes on building collection

Solved!
I uninstalled Amarok, deleted the directory .kde/share/apps/amarok/ (first made a copy to be sure). Then I installed Amarok again. It searched my collection and averything works as it should.
The only thing is that I don't have my covers anymore, but that's not such a huge problem.

It's on my machine. I think it's a bug in Amarok and I would like to make a fresh new install for Amarok. But when I uninstall and reinstall it. I still have my old settings. Doe anybody know how to delete the old settings?

It is linux harddrive. If I add a smaller collection it gives the same problems. If I wait (very long) tough, I can play music. But I need to add it directly to my playlist. But in the screen on the left it still keeps saying: (translated) "Please wait for a while, while the collection will be build".
The collection is about 1200 files.

Assistance / Software / Amarok freezes on building collection

Again a problem with Amarok.
When I want to (re)build my collection Amarok freezes. It first searches my mp3 directory and after giving 100% it freezes and does nothing.
I reinstalled it, but that doen'solve the problem. And I even installed the new version from the test repo, but it still gives the same problem.
Does someone have any idea?
