61  Assistance / Software / Re: ./configure error on: March 29, 2008, 19:50:45 PM
Well, it looks like a problem related with the program you're attemping to compile. I don't know how to fix it, maybe you can get help from the developer of that program?
62  Assistance / Software / Re: ./configure error on: March 29, 2008, 16:45:18 PM
It seems that you are trying to run the configure script with "sudo". With sudo, Qt library veriables ($QTDIR e.g) aren't filled, so you should run it as root. Enter first "sudo su" and then "./configure" Wink
63  Assistance / Software / Re: xfce in - fonts out on: March 18, 2008, 20:46:18 PM
Hm.. I had this problem before when I tried installing ms corefonts and screwed up my system :-) And I fixed that problem by undoing everything that I had done about ms corefonts and by re-installing xorg-server.

What did you do, just installed Xfce? Could you try to reinstall xorg-server?

sudo pisi it xorg-server --reins

Great Wink

Hmm... weird. Pardus should support HFS+ What's your filesystem of the drive? Isn't it HFS+? (Sorry, I don't know much about MacOs' filesystems. I think, Mac Os Extended is HFS+)

When you plug-in your drive, wait 5-6 seconds and enter the command below then paste the output of it.
tail -n 20 /var/log/messages

In addition, please enter this command and paste the output after plugging your drive.
/sbin/fdisk -l
67  General / Wish list / Re: xxdiff on: March 15, 2008, 16:43:09 PM
Unfortunately, putting it into CD is not possible, but it can be packaged. You can add new bug entry for this package. If it's worth packaging, someone will eventually package it Smiley But I don't think it's useful. You can just install it by yourself.
68  General / Introduce yourself / Re: Englishman in Munich on: March 07, 2008, 12:14:11 PM
Great Wink You can use Xfce on Pardus but I agree that it lacks some trivial things such as login manager. I packaged "slim" for it but it's not in the repository. When I add it, I'll also update the Xfce wiki page and will inform you Wink

Did you know that Python was developed by a dutchman, Guido van Rossum who now works at Google?
Yeah, and he is my best idol Tongue
70  General / General topics / Re: Pardus Server Edition? on: March 03, 2008, 19:05:17 PM
Can you give us at least some idea of when the server edition is going to be released? I for one would love to try it out.

There is no work in server, it's just an opinion. Unfortunately, few people work on Pardus and unless the number of working developer is changed, there won't be any additional release such as server. There will be only desktop version.
71  Assistance / Bugs / Re: broken ALSA : libasound.so.2 not found on: March 03, 2008, 16:53:09 PM
libasound.so.2 is in "alsa-lib" package, you seem to have removed this package or it's broken.

Could you paste the output of;
pisi info alsa-lib -F|grep libasound

Reinstalling alsa-lib may solve the problem;
sudo pisi it alsa-lib --reins

Ah, thanks for the link. Do you know who Rouanito spoke to?
According to this we'll have to wait some more before a server version will arrive...

He asked me via e-mail. If you have more questions, don't hasitate to ask and write them in this topic Wink

@PhiX: For correction: Not developers responded, that was only me. That should be "one of the developers" Smiley

73  General / The Pub / Re: Just back from Istanbul... on: February 17, 2008, 17:03:03 PM
Great Smiley I don't live in Istanbul but I have gone there several times. You should try "Narghile" in Tophane Tongue

74  Assistance / Pardus for beginners / Re: Session too locked on: February 08, 2008, 15:11:13 PM
Hm. AFAIK, this problem was fixed in test repository. I'll check and inform you.
75  Assistance / Bugs / Re: konqueror freezes on: January 27, 2008, 06:10:27 AM
This problem was fixed yesterday. In next gtk2 update, you won't see this problem. Yes, adobe flash player uses gtk2 Smiley
