Hi everone,
I installed mathematica 6.0.3 from cd succesfuly last night. But I had a problem after installation. A dialog box pops up and you are forced to push quit button. It says mathematica coudn't fount a font family. I did everthing to solve the problem but I was in vain.

By the way below is my ls output of directory of fonts under mathematica. I added PCF fonts myself from mathematica's site.

well I don't have any resolution problem. My card is nvidia gforce 8400M and I use it with 1280x800 resolution. Resolution's never been a problem though. Besides pardus has a new tool called display manager as you know. Which simplifies resolution and refresh rate selection and configuring second screen by GUI interface. You don't have to (you are not allowed to edit xorg.conf manually) mess with xorg.conf file anymore. 

It's been tested and then posted. I never post such an information without testing first.

I have good news for you, pardus supports ar5007 wifi cards out-of-box. How do I know that? Because I also have an acer laptop which has an ar5007 chipset too. 
Pardus supports ar5007 since from 2008 version. Before that I had to use ndiswrapper to make it work.

Same here, I am one of pardus' victims too . A few months ago I pointed out this slowness of pardus too. None of users in here believed in me . I remember that I said ubuntu runs much faster than pardus. As it's clear that it's a problem of not correctly handling of nvidia drivers .

As many of you know that pardus install cd doesn't have an option to upgrade your system from install cd. But don't worry about that much. There is a very simple workaround.  I just figured out howto upgrade your system from the install cd. In order to the that :

• copy all packages which resides in cdrom:/repo into /var/cache/pisi/packages/ I presume you know howto copy files. sudo cp sourcedir targetdir .This will enable pisi not to download those packages. Because they will be already cached  .
• then give update command from console sudo pisi up

That's it.

I remember it was inside repos of pardus-2007. Where is it now?

I have not only read all documentation but also contacted developer's channel through irc. they couldn't helped me either.

Well, the problem is that I couldn't find what is wrong. If someone interested in it I can upload pspec.xml and actions.py somewhere.

I need urgently building a pisi package. I prepared actions.py and pspec.xml files but still no luck.

Hmm today I retry the same situation and it seems this time there is no problem. I remember last time I tried I accidentaly  removed host name from text box. I think the problem was that. That's all.

Maybe I am the only one having this problem or not. Let me explain. I was trying to change  name server's order from name server settings list.  I did actually change the list by pressing push up - push down buttons but when I pressed apply button , name server settings dialog box got frozen, grayed out. As a result, I couldn't change the name server list ordering.

It might be a bug. how does it behave in your situation?
