121  General / Wish list / Re: Restricted Graphic drivers & Compiz Fusion "out of box" on: September 03, 2007, 19:56:17 PM
From the restricted I mean proprietary drivers of nvidia & ati. Why don't we have them out of box?
122  General / Wish list / fine tuning pardus on: September 03, 2007, 19:53:00 PM
Greetings,

It would be fine if pardus had a fine tuning wizard included in comar/kaptan with which we could optimise pardus. For example a grafical front end for hard tasks like enabling DMA, ... etc

125  Assistance / Configuring Pardus / Re: Installation & Afterwards on: August 30, 2007, 07:17:59 AM
Hello Kavani,

>>You have be root to use them.

Hmm, I guess I want to say type "su" first in order to become root and then type "lsusb"  Huh?

>>For whatever reason, sudo won't

Do developers aware of that? It's very stupid not to be able to use them with sudo. I could sudo all of these commands on ubuntu.

>>As far as the installation taking so long, mine typically stay at an hour.

I believe you're lucky.  Embarrassed

126  Assistance / Configuring Pardus / Installation & Afterwards on: August 30, 2007, 00:05:17 AM
Hello

I just installed Pardus 2007.2 to my friend's notebook. Believe me Installation took 2 hours  to complete. Why installation took so long. Anyway after installation, I run update command with "sudo pisi up". I realised webcam   doesn't working.

I tried to type "sudo lspci" & "sudo lsusb" but output of these commands gave me "command not found" error. My question is what happened to these commands? how can I get tham back?

130  General / Wish list / More elegant fonts on: August 19, 2007, 14:21:10 PM
I wish parsus has had more elegant fonts. I have never liked default fonts of pardus namely deja vu. IMHO Ubuntu has more elegant fonts.

@Bandito&Kavani:
Thank you for your replies but as you see it's very difficult task for a beginner to make a pisi package . There has to be another way. If not I can't make any pisi package ever :-(
134  Assistance / Pardus for beginners / How to make Pardus pisi packages? on: August 13, 2007, 16:30:53 PM
Hello,

Can anybody point me to the right direction? I don't know how to make Pardus pisi packages from source code. Is there a way similar to the checkinstall which creates debian deb files from source code?

regards
H.E
