Hello!

I also have similar problems just like baboo. The difference is, I`m living in a campus like facility (30 rooms) and I think I`m connected trough router. Pardus firewall is also on with no exceptions.
When I try to install/update/uninstall any package the progress box just dissapears afer a couple of seconds and nothing happens.

My other computer at home, does not have that kind of problems at all and works perfectly, but there is no router involved.

I solved most of applications issues by compiling applications from source. The only thing that is giving me trouble is amsn, I use kopete instead but I still prefer amsn.

i know what you mean, i read the comments. im wondering if maybe someone allready is using this theme and would be so nice and uploaded the theme file on other site that host files.

hello!

im just another guy who tried pardus and i must say im very excited about the whole distro. its polished, packages are up to date, but the most important for me is the speed and responsiveness of pardus. kudos to the dev team 
however i tried to install custom splash screen theme from http://www.kde-look.org/content/show.php/3lobyte+Pardus+and+New+KDE+3.5+Splash+?content=52201
the problem is that none of download links dont work. if anyone has a working link of this splash screen theme and would be prepared to share it with the rest of the community, please do
