There's a solution in the second link you gave me, but I realize that I'd better change my player if I want to connect my iPod without having to manually configure something Thanks for your help guys, you're always very nice

Thanks for your replies I know amarok and other software are just one click away, but I've already got Clementine on my system and I really like it, so why should I change it? I mean, I've got clementine running on other distros and it correctly detect my ipod. So I was wondering if it's a sort of library missing problem in pardus, cos it's the only OS that can't recognize my device

That's it. I plug it, it connects but then Clementine can't find it. It works well with other distros like Mint et simila. I'm kinda noob so is there a way to know if my iPod is connected properly? Thanks for your help guys

Wireless device works, there's a light on the netbook that shows it. iwconfig lo no wireless extensions.
wlan0 802.11b/g Mode:Managed Frequency=2.422 GHz Access Point: Not-Associated Bit Rate:11 Mb/s Retry:on RTS thr:off Fragment thr:off Power Management:off Link Quality=0/100 Signal level=0 dBm Noise level=0 dBm Rx invalid nwid:0 Rx invalid crypt:0 Rx invalid frag:0 Tx excessive retries:0 Invalid misc:0 Missed beacon:0
eth0 no wireless extensions. lspci | grep RTL8187SE 02:00.0 Network controller: Realtek Semiconductor Co., Ltd. RTL8187SE Wireless LAN Controller (rev 22) Seems ok, doesn't it?

That's what I can't get: why is the wireless working with some rtl8187se (like atolboo) and not with other rtl8187se like the one I have? The driver is the same, isn't it?

Assistance / Hardware / RTL8187SE wireless not working
|

Ok, this time I'm 100% I'm not the problem A friend of mine has an Olibook m1020, with a Realtek 8187SE. I know it works on Pardus since 2008.2 version, but it's not my case. Actually, I was never able to use wireless on that netbook, not even with ubuntu or fedora. Is there any way to use wireless with that hardware? Thanks for your help

Assistance / Hardware / Pardus 2011.2 and wireless: not working.
|
on: September 20, 2011, 19:33:06 PM

Hi everyone I just installed Pardus 2011.2 on my netbook Acer aspire one D260 and it looks great, but wireless doesn't work. lspci -v shows that I have an Atheros AR9285 wireless network and it worked right out of the box with EVERY distribution I tried (ubuntu, fedora, opensuse, mageia ecc.). But network setting --> Wireless doesn't show any wireless connection. Suggestions? If you need more details let me know, I don't know what informations you need EDIT: ok. That's what happen when you don't use kde for more than 5 years. My bad, wireless is now working perfectly

Assistance / Installing Pardus / Re: Pardus 2011 and netbook

Kein Problem Well, actually I had to translate it but doesn't matter Tomorrow I'll try with this mandriva-seed for windows and then with your solution if mandriva doesn't work, thanks man I bought an Acer aspire one D260 just three days ago, I wanted to install Xubuntu and I tried with Pendrivelinux, unetbootin, the ubuntu tool... Every software was different. With unetbootin I was able to run it, but then the installation freezed after two minutes. The ubuntu tool didn't work at all and with pendrivelinux the installation software crashed with an error message. I'm new to usb installation with Linux, but is there such a big difference from software to software?
