Hallo All:
The replies, information, and interest shown by
all of you who replied is gratefully acknowledged. The
tidbits of information on this forum help to make us more
informed about Pardus Linux.
I overcame the problems in Konqueror by a
re-install., and now all is okay. Somehow i could not get
to the setting or change I had to make before the re-install.

Best regards,

Hallo Folks:
                  Thanks for the replies.
Yes, Java Script is enabled. Using KDE 3.5.10
So somewhere along the way something happened.
Maybe a wrong setting ; dont know for sure.
Originally was working. May have to try a complete
reinstall.

Any help or suggestions are appreciated.

5  General / General topics / [solved]Another Konqueror Browser Problem on: September 20, 2008, 20:47:00 PM
Greetings to all;
I notice for some reason the script on the browser page
is not showing properly. Part of it is missing, and no color bars are visible.

Here is an example. If I go to>> http://news.bbc.co.uk/
the wide black  and red bar at the top is missing.
Also, the grayish background to News frontpage with the list of regions
is missing, as well as the title "News Front Page" .Probably other things
are missing, but this is just an example what happens with a site.

This action happens in various degrees to all the URLs I enter.

Java plug-in works, as well as the Flash plug-in. Apparently again it
involves a setting I haven't found yet.

Anyone got any ideas on this one?? Otherwise Konqueror works well in Pardus.
Guess one has to get use to its quirks.

Regards, and TIA,
Pardus.ca

Hallo;
         Thanks Wesselaar for the reply.
No F9 is not what I mean. It does not do what
I want.

When you open Konqueror it only opens part way.
Approximately 1/2 +. How do you get it to open like a
regular browser page-i.e., full breadth ?

There is a setting somewhere in the menus, but
for the life of me, I cannot find it; hence the question.

Best regards,

Hallo to all:
I have a question about the Konqueror Browser.
When you open it, it only fills part of the screen.
What setting do I click to have it fill the full width of
the screen on start-up.
Help on this problem would be appreciated.

TIA,

Followed by a second line: ""FreeFontPath: FPE "/usr/share/fonts/misc/"
refcount is 2, should be 1; fixing.

11  Assistance / Configuring Pardus / Monitor out of Range on: March 19, 2007, 12:59:47 PM
Hallo:
When I try to install or run the Pardus 2007.1 CD my monitor goes out of range. How do I get around this while running the CD? That is, get into root mode?

12  Assistance / Configuring Pardus / More results` on: October 25, 2006, 22:36:48 PM
Back again>
When rebooting my machine it went directly to a screen
showing the pardus symbol at the top , and then made an attempt to
bring up the nvidia software, and failed, showing a black screen.

Now I have no boot prompt. Is there a short way around this?,
or do I have to reinstall and update for the 6th time (yes, I am persistent)

Then comes the question the settings . I am using a Medion 15 inch LCD;
the refresh rate is 70hz; vertical-horizontal resolution settings I dont know? Besides this I thnk there are a couple of other things not set correctly. The monitor is a Medion model MD5407QA

Help here is really needed. Waiting patiently

Hallo Murat and all;
Got some results here. You can look and advise.
Installed pardus again and downloaded many updates.. I have not rebooted yet to see if it picks up the nvidia card. If it does not, I guess its the vertical-horizontal numbers ??

15  Assistance / Configuring Pardus / Howto Nvidia Driver on: October 24, 2006, 23:55:36 PM
Hallo:
Just joined and am a new comer to linux.(newbie)
The nvidia problem is alive and well with me
Its a no-go. Screen goes blank. Install went okay
but does not recognise the kernel because nv doesnt =nvidia
Unfortunately I cant change anything because of no permission
        thing.

I have tried this 3 times and same results.
Tired of getting the system setup, downloading updates
and additions, only to do it all over again.

I followed the instructions that were laid out so nicely
        in the forum.

I suppose i could stick with the nv, but would the other
        nvidia kernel not be better?

        The motherboard here has a built-in Nvidia G-Force 6100
        video system.

So does anyone know how to overcome all this nvidia problem.
Advise please to get out of the dark-crash mode.

TIA,
